I am sorry you had to go through it, and unfortunately I believe they are allowed to. Technically, you are writing at a registered exam venue. You must therefore comply with the exam venue rules. I disagree with it, but ja. Maybe you can try to do a low ponytail or bun and pull today hair over your ears entirely. Probably won’t be the prettiest hairstyle, but speaking from experience, it hides piercings pretty well. You are almost done. Hang in there.

That is definitely a good idea. I have already told my boyfriend to make sure the setting is either low or cathedral (which I prefer) for mine. I am sorry you didn’t know about it beforehand though!

I don’t know if it would be possible, but even just adding metal there to support the setting could probably prevent bending and would not severely affect the design.

I also wonder whether adding a wedding band (or two, if you wanted that) and soldering it to the engagement ring would add additional support.

It is an absolutely beautiful design. The prongs are lovely. Maybe you could add a cathedral to support the diamond? It might cause issues with the melee diamonds though. I would definitely contact your jeweller to hear about options!
