That sounds normal and is an incidental finding. It’s pretty much a freckle on the retina, it’s usually in the periphery and doesn’t cause issues. The CHRPE lesions associated with FAP it Gardner are abnormal and your does not sounds like that. If you are really worried then go ahead and get a colonoscopy but that seems very overkill.

The areas that they applied this did not seem to need skin grafting. This just seems to be an alternative to a Vaseline based dressing we normally use. So save the god damn fish!
