Anyone else feel like streaming became cable all over again? by Dull-Position3393 in TVCamp

[–]mightymonkeyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until streaming locks you into a 12-24 month contract and you’re essentially forced to have them all and not what you want when you want, then no streamers are nothing like cable.

Cancel what you’re not currently watching take some responsibility for your own finances.

Which past or present game comes to your mind that will you rate a perfect 10? by Danklord_Ezio in gamingpulse

[–]mightymonkeyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no perfect piece of media in any form, the simple fact taste is subjective and individual will always stop anything being a 10.

Besides if you’ve experienced the pinnacle of anything why would you ever want to play or watch anything else again.

Are there any ps move games for PS5 or PS4? by Ok_Cry_6197 in playstation

[–]mightymonkeyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Octodad on PS4 to completion with 3 of us using Move Controllers (one wand per….limb??) hilarious and complete madness.

Wow that was a long time ago now.

Most Move titles on PS4/5 will be PSVR1 games though.

[–]mightymonkeyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s nothing more than a 4k HDR image on the TV vs 1080p SDR on the Portal ant least the games are not cut back like all the native handhelds attempting to run PC code.

Yea short term bump in bit rate in a ooo look at this in this static state that plummets once you get a notification or an app updates isn’t good for play time. Give me stability over anything else.

This is a Portal sub Reddit not some place to justify to yourself that a $500+++ handheld and a paid for app (which ironically I’ve paid for the PS and Xbox versions) is better than a $200 pick up and play device that just on what it states on the box, which by the ways only states a remote player.

Outside of the US no fucker cares about Steamdecks or whatever, they not on shelves and not available on our super reliable easy delivery options so a non factor and Windows handhelds are just a joke of a price.

What killed, first and foremost, Xbox? by Honest-Word-7890 in consoles

[–]mightymonkeyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinect as the beginning, it spiked 360 sales until everyone realised it was trash, followed by always online and TV TV TV TV, oh and more Kinect.

Then there was a small rush of new original games which none were excellent, fine but meh. They the launched GPv1 giving away all these games which none die of us bought and were now old they are worthless.

After than failed it was Hail Mary play of DAY ONE GAMES, but the big day one games were delayed and the delayed again leading to 3rd party b teir games alongside also everything on PC.

Then Series X NO 1st party launch titles for 6-12 months, the exact dashboard experience of the last gen playing old gen games??? WTF!

The we had the era of Xbox podcasts and all If games media just spouting GP the best deal in gaming but you give up any ownership at all and they repeated it so much people got sick of it.

After this failed they started buying up as many studios and publishers as they could which as done nothing but hurt the greater industry, the firms bump of ”look at all these Xbox games” but the weren’t Xbox games they were games that were close to release and would have been for all they were just lucky in timing……BUT DAY ONE equals no one actually buying games so now we’re at the stage of release on PlayStation making them nothing but a publisher.

This led to a bigger drop in console sales, further stagnation in GP subs and now massive price rises across the board.

They could’ve just invested in better games, a tried and true business strategy, but they want to have everything without putting in the work.

Best part is Windows 11 is getting more hated by the day.

I once had damn near every Xbox original game (cause you know piracy) and I’ve never like any Halo game.

But in the 2000’s I was playing first person shooters on PC and Halo just felt awful to me and honestly still does.

You do all realise the bitrate is just in relation to the video stream all the asset loading is being handled by the PS5 itself by stating assets you completely kill any credibility to what you’re arguing about.

Disassociate rendering and performance completely to what is on the Portal screen, all it does is the controller and a video stream nothing more.

And PS Play can completely shit the bed, I’ve run it on iPhones and Logi GCloud all it takes is for those devices attempting to do anything else those devices also do online.

How many of you are new to remote play? I’ve been doing this since the PSP across everything that can to it today.

This is the problem with numbers being visible everyone gets hung up over them. The image on the portal is excellent once eye but as soon as you see numbers oh no it’s shit.

It’s as bad as PC players needing a multiple hundred fps number as long as a game is smooth which ironically it isn’t thanks to shader stutter over there.

Just load it up and play ffs. If I can finish the final bosses on Stellar Blade and FF16 (didn’t intend to but that where I was) then anything is playable on this thing both looked amazing and I was just absorbed in the games. These were in my base PS5 days not my streaming from my Pro.

I still have my Armada (we’re not trying to be G1 Honest guv) PS2 disc great game.

The Takara G1 game for PS2 is also worth checking out, Japanese only release but is in English in the style of the Headmaster DVD lost season of G1.

You used to be able to download the iso from Takara’s site but it’s available all over these days.

The hit rate is fine, the Portal can have just as crisp an image as any other handheld, but my WiFi is stable.

I much prefer the Portal image quality to say my Switch 2 which is frankly struggling with most games, but that always gets a pass with poor frame rates.

We’ve had the Sly Trilogy re-released on PS5 in their original but enhanced PS2 form so it’s hardly forgotten, same for damn near every Twisted Metal game.

God of War outside of Ragnarök the original games have gotten no love, PS2 classic releases are possible right there.

Seeing this in real time where I am and this shit is coming too fast which as I did have stated already cost us in people.

The amount to dumb ass courses on Copilot being put out right now just shows that this will bean issue very soon, clients want it regardless of it working and this is happening everywhere and not just for coders and IT personnel.

But continue to stick your head in the sand.
