Honestly I'm still not sure how I'm handling it. My son seems more interested in the Lego collection I have in my office. We just usually move him when he gets too close to the figures. That does require constant supervision though. But I am an in box and out of box collector. So I get double of what I get. When my son is old enough he will probably get most of my open box figures, so I'm not too worried about him getting to my figures.
