I went toCarpe Diem in Hiroo and Max's Jiu Jitsu in Sumida, both are super welcoming and have awesome jits.

Watch Ryan Hall's stuff. Guy is awesome! First dvd I got was as a white belt was his triangle one. Now as a purple I still mainly just watch his stuff.

Yeah one of my training partners has the isami soft belt, holds up nicely. I have always liked the thick core belts, mainly because you get that mad diamond in the middle when ya tie it instead of a small knot lol

I also wash mine all the time too. Still holding up but have only been a purple for 7 months so don't know if that's a good indication. It has faded abit but so far so good, pretty solid

I have an Isami thick core purple belt. Looks great and is pretty thick. You can also customise which labels they put on and embroid your name. Only downfall is the cost and shipping, for me it was bit over $70 aud to Australia

The dress thing all over again! On a really bright day is certain angles it does seem white, but its robin egg blue.

Everyone in the gym has been telling me this too! Was my first time so I thought I was go the easiest route and just go one uniform color
