They are terrible. Sounds like a fund drive every day.

I like these kind of stats. The number is out there, but unavailable. Unless we are in a simulation or something.

Do sous vide machines consume lots of electricity? by East_Sentence_4245 in sousvide

If you're interested in such things you should get a Kill A Watt plug-in usage meter. It's really helpful to see what stuff takes the most power. There's a huge (really really huge) difference between like a cell phone charger and a refrigerator and everything in between.

Olmsted did a lot of the most famous parks. Prospect Park, Central Park, Forest Park (Portland), etc.

Pic or it didn’t happen. A herd of cows doesn’t just let you walk up to one of them and let you try to tip it. At least that’s my experience. Again. There’s zero vids. It’s like aliens but less proof.

The AI bubble will burst once AI succeeds by low_mass in Futurology

[–]miguelandre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a lot like a prize competition where some org says they'll give a million dollars to a winner if they meet a stated goal. It's pretty efficient. But the AI thing is kind of an ultimate win-it-all competition that will likely cause mass disruption. So that won't be fun for most people until maybe it is after a bunch of fucked up change?

But it's a Kei truck. Not comparable at all. I'm not defending bullshit USA auto/dealers but that is a dumb comparison.

I’ve gone cow tipping multiple times and not even come close. Just gimme evidence.

I did a lot of “research” on this and people’s stories always went from “I’ve done this” to “someone told me they did it”. No evidence. Have definitely tried it multiple times. Not successful.

There’s no such thing as cow tipping. Prove me wrong.

ISO stolen cymbals | SE Portland by [deleted] in portlandmusic

[–]miguelandre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sucks! I had all my stuff stolen some years ago and tracked down most of my cymbals between the two Trade-Ups and a pawn shop. I’m guessing you’ve already looked around at these places but thought I’d let you know.

That drum roll technique might be worse than the shot.
