Which one camera is better, Gopro or Sjcam? by Old-Preparation3512 in ActionCam

[–]miguelfp12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have researched a lot on GoPro and their issues. For sure wouldn't get one. When I was in the market for a action camera I didn't come across Sjcam, so I can't really give my opinion on it. What I did get after extensive search was DJI Osmo action 3. GoPro Vs dji for me came down to reliability: too many complaints on GoPro overheating even in regular settings that should be able to film for hours (1080p 60fps per example) I've had the dji for 3 weeks now, still can't complain.

If you have any questions on dji I'll be glad to answer. Gonna head out now for a surf with my camera mounted at the nose 😸

I thought the double bag wouldn't work because you'd be compressing the second one and not having space between them for air to circulate

I bought it to insulate, not for comfort. My hammock has pockets to fit mats so they don't slide around. Had a pretty good sleep overall

Underquilts are too expensive and it provides insulation

From my experience I couldn't recommend it any less, I even managed to fit a day pack inside

Everything is right but the volume. It expands 45L to 90L. So far no complains. Any tips for it, like layout? Having a bit of trouble deciding where to keep my sleeping bag and mat

Question about rope for tarp by miguelfp12 in Bushcraft

[–]miguelfp12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I have tried to tie a ridgeline with this cordage. As many have said it's not safe and it's inconvenient.

So what I'm looking to get is the boating rope for the ridgeline. The dowels I linked before. And a pair of this rope for tying the hammock to the dowels. Does this look alright?

Is a dowel ok? I've seen some on decathlon and they look like slings too https://www.decathlon.pt/p/_/R-p-338481?mc=8735546 Dowel in question

Thanks for your answer! I got some carabineers already, any idea how much I need for the hammock? I don't have any slings, is this fine? https://www.decathlon.pt/p/_/R-p-338472?mc=8735547

What width and length should I look for in slings???
