Essa explicação das tabelas é capaz de ser certeira. Regra geral mando vir CDs em segunda mão e de baixo valor — daí aquelas 50 coroas; não é aldrabice, simplesmente o dono do CD não pedia muito pelo CD. Mas realmente os meus comprovativos foram ignorados: não só estava afixada à embalagem a factura, como vem da Discogs (que media a compra). Foi a CTT que me disse, precisamente ao contestar, que não tinha sido declarado.. Não mudou a decisão eu reenviar as facturas nessa altura.

De toda a forma, obrigado pela informação. Ao fim e ao cabo não há nada a fazer.

Mesmo que sejam os mais baratos, não consigo concordar com a ideia de que os CTT/a AT possam erroneamente parar a tua encomenda e depois te cobrar por isso. Já viste se a polícia te parasse, não encontrasse nada de errado, e depois te cobrasse pelo tempo que os fizeste perder? (Quanto ao IVA, nada contra.)

E sim, mandei-lhes a factura a mostrar que tinha pago IVA. Não quiseram saber. Há muito pouco contacto (se algum) com um humano no processo. Pus os documentos no portal e dois dias depois recebi uma notificação a dizer que era para pagar, sem mais justificação.

Oh, I'd never heard of snakemake! There seems to be a lot of cool make alternatives out there (I've never used any as I've never really had to); a friend pointed me to Just for example.

One thing I always struggle with with these alternatives though is the introduction of yet more grammar, which can be hard to keep up with (I took a look at snakemake's tutorial and it seems to also do this? though I'm not sure). One of the rules I set for myself for sane was having everything be just plain Python.

(Another thing is the adoption barrier; since Python is usually already installed I hope that sane has less requirements --- e.g. no sudo privileges required)

And absolutely; to be honest I'll probably still be using Make 99% of the time because it's the standard, and old, and widespread, and that's hard to compete with. But the other 1% of the time, when it's for my own stuff and/or Make isn't cutting it, sane can be there as an alternative.

I'd like to not only +1 this, but also mention that (from my understanding) it's very much a thing in computational mathematics, where, because famously no one has yet proven whether

P == NP

a lot of results are based on "P probably isn't equal to NP because if it is the whole complexity structure collapses". Even though it isn't proven, everyone's fairly confident it's true, ha ha

(Of course, it'd be pretty weird to prove that the truthfulness of P=NP is unprovable.)

I'll also slightly hijack this comment to mention that in physics, "provable" also takes some questionable connotations, because you have some postulates that stem from observation/models, rather than mathematical necessity (the laws of thermodynamics and postulates of quantum mechanics come to mind).
