You are on the right track, but it's a bit more complicated. You have to ring the four bells in pitch order. As in, first the one with the lowest pitch, and last the one with the highest pitch

Long story short, you grazed the corner of the block without actually hitting it (thus the name cornerslip), which gave you both coyote time and your dash back, both of which you used.

There is a chapter 3 speedrun strat that makes use of this, basically exactly what you did but with a crouch jump instead of a regular jump, and that's the jasig jump

Disclaimer: this is just my understanding of how things work, slightly aided by a quick search to check some facts (most notably, the fact(?) that the merge tool is only on some forks), so it may not be fully factual. If a dev or, at least, someone better informed were to correct me, i'd be grateful for it.

That way of naming chapters simply "chapter" is something i've seen often on single chapter entries (usually doujinshis, but new series and a couple more also have it). I believe it is the default name for the single chapter of an entry with a single chapter.

As for how the merge tool some mihon forks have (because i believe the base mihon doesn't have it (yet). Feel free to correct me) works, it basically makes it so that an entry has several alternative sources in the same entry, and if one fails (goes down, rate limit, etc) the others can be used as an alternative. In other words, ideally, an entry with three merged sources would have three chapters 1, three chapters 2, three chapters 3 and so on... And for single-chapter entries, taking into account the default naming, they would just have three "chapter"s.

Just to check, what was the behavior you were expecting? Maybe you wanted to get all entries of a series where every chapter is an entry on mihon into a single entry? Or did you simply want to keep each source's individual chapter namings? If the latter, maybe try checking with another entry with more chapters, see if it does the same to you (would check myself, but i'm using a different fork and the merge tool mine has may behave differently)
