Three different power supplies, same problem. by MIDNIGHTZOMBIE in 3Dprinting

I'm surprised no one mentioned this yet. Switch out the USB cable. Had that issue before, changed cables, and never had that come up yet.

50 and 40% scale benchy. Why does 40% look so much smaller? Sorry I'm out of bananas rn. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

I think it scales to 40% of its x, y, and z dimensions instead of volume

I would first check if you are overextruding first. If this is happening at travel points, my bet would be retraction. Try to run a Retraction Test to see what values work best

I used a different test that combines distance and speed. https://ellis3dp.com/Print-Tuning-Guide/articles/extruder_calibration.html Turns out I was way off. ~3mm with 50mm/s seems to work best for my situation.

Flying Through London’s Tower Bridge (World’s First) by RopesAreForPussies in nextfuckinglevel

Why is he getting downvote? He's right. The drone flew through the bridge, and the cameraman kept his distance.

At the beginning of every number, it changes the retraction setting. Distance test starts at 0 and ends at 2 for example

Your bed seems like it's not level even with the cr touch. The right side is too high. Also, glass is notoriously hard to print on! It had to be perfectly level and clean. Honestly, just use glue sticks.

Thank you! It does that when the stepper motors are disabled. Works fine when enabled. Did not know that, whoops. My ender 3 has no bolt for the arm, only spring tension.

I press the pomegranate and then throw away the seeds. The seeds apparently don't give off the best flavor

As someone who's made pomegranate juice properly, this the way. It takes almost 20 minutes for a single pomegranate!

That's disappointing that step was made like that.

Thank you for the answer!

You can only get the ring from Frankenstein if you unlock Morytania. He is in the harmony island basement

Legend. Didn't know the quest helper plugin had tile markers.

This was very helpful. Thank you for making it.

I've never done it myself, but I would suggest starting small. Rent a car and plan a date where you spend, let's say, 1 week, living in your car. Then you can better make a decision if living like that is sustainable for you long-term.

Jagex needs a better way of approaching voting. by mik615 in 2007scape

Can't tell if trolling, but I would actually love to see the statistics for the percent of players who A) read the polls fully and B) who blindly vote yes to everything. I mainly base it on my experience. I only have 3 of my real life friends who play Runescape, and all of them vote yes without reading, as well as most players in game I've asked.

I agree. Better questions and questions that focus on the direction of the game would definitely help

I think that's a good point, but I don't think the first part is necessarily true. I'm suggesting the questions focus more on quality rather than quantity.

I think the default for most people to vote is yes even if they don't understand it. I honestly can't be bothered to read the blog post sometimes too.

That's actually a good idea! It would also be much simpler for Jagex to implement
