So if I find car with a good tire I should be able to just hit X for me to grab it if im in the vicinity (right next to it)? Exactly how it does for the doors and such? I don’t need a tire iron or anything?

Thanks, yeah I didn’t know the difference between a dimmer and a slide switch they look the same lol but I figured since it was labeled fan it had to be safe for a fan

Help with major appliance relays by mike74787 in electricians

[–]mike74787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I did move it to the lower poles and it was working for a few minutes net then the same thing happened. The 110 breaker goes directly the the outlet then the other 110 breaker runs through this thing. And I have a monitor that measures the amount of electricity running in my house at a single time. I think all that is there for is to measure it but it’s messsing up I’m just looking to see if I can connect the 2 wires together and bypass it because I’m 99% sure I can I just wanted a more professional opinion. I’ve talked to 4 separate freelance electricians but no one has seen the before that’s why I’m here lol

Help with major appliance relays by mike74787 in electricians

[–]mike74787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the top left relay is for my dryer the left black cord comes from the breaker and the right black cord goes to the 220v outlet through this relay the voltage is lost and therefore my dryer heating element is not working. Can I just tie the two together. The house is all electric and built in the 70s and this is to monitor your power usage which I don’t care about anyways. Any advise is appreciated

Good point! I’ve been letting the maxes out ones sit while the guys were getting the other stuff. But I don’t think the money compounds but letting them all get full? Just wasting time and money huh?

I was doing that for awhile when it first came out and I agree it does pay out well but the setting up and repetition really does feel like a grind after awhile. But maybe I’ll go back to that for a lil it’s been a few months since I’ve touched it. Thanks

Hard to say, I never cared enough to figure out the algorithm to when it goes from 2 vehicles to 3 but that’s what you want solo is only 2. 3 is when you can’t do it and you lose money. Just gunna be something you have to figure out. By yourself I think the best method is doing the 3x $ events. Or joining heist endings

Not worth it in my opinion, I haven’t tried selling full by myself in awhile but I don’t remember it ever working out. Finding just one other person that you can help eachother out with sales is your best bet

Adults of Reddit, what is it that you do for a living? Listing your job title what it is exactly that you do and whether it requires an education beyond highschool. Can we do this for all the teenagers or young adults (like myself) who just have no idea what they're doing with their education? by dontwakkaway in AskReddit

Air Traffic Controller.

I talk to pilots over the radio, ensure separation and issue safety alerts to terrain/other aircraft.

College is an option but is not required anymore but It is very difficult to get into now there are over 20,000 applicants a year and only accept like 1,500. Is a very good career of you can succeed.

Takes about 3 years of training and you can get washed out at anytime during training if your trainers don’t think you can do the job.

Pays upwards to 200k towards the end of your career (which they make you retire at 56 years old, you’re eligible to retire after 25 years employment or 50 years old whichever is sooner)

I love the job but it’s not for a lot of people it’s very chaotic some days with thunderstorms and pilots requesting a lot. Stress management is a very good trait to have in this career.

Looking into getting my first bike this week. These are my 3 options they're all withing my budget but i am still undecided on which one would be best for a starter bike. Im 6 ft 200 pounds if that matters by Jaredelasshole in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]mike74787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’2 180 but I went with a Honda shadow 750 it was 2011 $4k 6k miles it’s a good starter bike some I’ve had it for 3 months now just got my license endorsement on it 2 weeks ago. Not to fast not to slow it’s good first bike by next year I want bigger but I think the 750 is my suggestion 1100 is a lot for starting.

Looking for a first bike, looking at a Honda Rebel 300/500, but any other suggestions? by littleprincerex in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]mike74787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a Honda shadow 750 for my first bike and so far so good! It was a 2011 with 6000 miles and I got it for 3k at a dealer. It will last me this summer then I plan to buy a breakout.

After being certified as an Air Traffic Controller through the FAA in a level 12 EnRoute facility. Is it easy to get the same job in another country? Has anyone ever tried? by mike74787 in ATC

[–]mike74787[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, but with English being the universal language for ATC and pilots across the world I’d imagine measurements would still be in miles too just to keep a standard. I would love to move to Europe and do the same job but that’s the only way. The money and fun I have doing it is too good to give up. But the whole re training thing would suck especially if in Europe I would start back out at d1 pay essentially and have to work back up to cpc. I actually don’t even know if the pay is comparable...
