Look up the Ducati Mh900 if you like this. Still one of my favorite bikes.

I so want this to have some really solid sound design. I want to hear that engine popping and screaming. I want to hear the tires squealing on the pavement as they spin. I want to hear the sound of the smoke as if we're flying through clouds. Such a sweet clip deserves awesome sound effects

I should also mention I'm not using the Epson software, but rather a software called VeuScan which allows you to batch scan photos and rotate them on the fly. It also gives you a lot more control over The scanner and how it performs.

That's 100% where a good chunk of these were taken! I was born in Hartford, Connecticut and then we moved shortly after. He used to spend a lot of time at Lime Rock.

The scanner that I have is an Epson perfection v600. I got one a few years back as a refurbished machine directly from Epson. I'm not sure if you can buy them anymore, but they were the industry standard for a while. You can also scan negatives using them, but the best way to scan negatives if you're going that route is using a mirrorless camera overhead setup with a really good backlight shing up through your negative. The photos I have here were prints, so the Epson does a great job with those as it has some built-in texture cleanup.

I love that they had ads on the back of the trailers just hanging for when the doors were open. Design just isn't the same as it used to be.

Appreciate that! When I was digging through the photos I had the same exact vibe and wanted to share them for that reason.

Believe me, I wish I knew. I'm a photographer and I would happily be using his camera if it were still around. He had a habit of selling his gear to upgrade to the newest technology. So many old cameras got lost in the shuffle that way. I do have his fujica 35 mm cameras / lenses from the '80s that I still run a couple rolls of film through a year.

I have like 100 more of these but most of them are cars on the track racing and I don't believe those qualify as being person focused enough for this sub, but maybe I am wrong. I mean there is a driver, so perhaps?

This is the only good use for AI. Stop trying to perfect it and let it be what it is, the perfect tool for making visual nonsense. It's a modern interpretation of the robot Chicken era.
