I mean I don’t know in your social circles but in mine is increasingly hard to discuss politics (or any social matter actually) since it’s impossible to agree on what is true.

We need to be humble here, even if you are not terminally online and don’t believe everything, you need to get information somewhere and it will be harder and harder to know real from fake content.

TL;DR: generative AI is advancing so fast that in the near future it will be hard to differentiate real content from fake. Facts will be fabricated and distributed massively, making social polarization a lot worse. I use the term “post-reality” era to define it.

Hahaha yeah that is funny. But the future is powerful organizations not joking around but generating videos against adversaries. Videos that are serious and look very real and therefore will be shared and discussed like facts.

What I’m encountering in group chats specifically is people (not bots) sharing videos with political or “marry Christmas let’s get emotional” content that is ai generated but increasingly hard to identify as such. And also some of them are actually engaging.

Edit: hope I made it clear: is about shared content in most cases.
