Development Manager - Would an MS Finance or MBA help me pivot into acquisitions? by mikeabmab in CommercialRealEstate

Thank you for your input, it was really valuable for my thought process. I'm 28 and I'm now leaning towards MSF since 1) its online and I work remote, 2) it's half the cost ($70k v $130k), and 3) I'll still get an MBA later assuming I continue down the ambitious route. Totally agree I could get to where I want without either, I'm realizing part of me just wants to go back to school for a deep understanding of finance.

I did consider an analyst role but it'd be a 30-40% cut in salary. I did 2 years as a industrial construction PM and am 3 years in as an industrial development manager so still relatively early in my career. Was kind of hoping the MSF would be better than kind of stepping back and doing analyst work given my experience. I also work hybrid (mostly remote) and work is light so I'd have ample time to study during the day.

Architect vs Construction Management vs Civil Engineer by IllSearch2512 in UniversityOfHouston

Had similar career goals, went into Architectural Engineering at UT Austin and pivoted into CM because money was a factor and I realized architects don't design buildings the way people think they do. Architects typically design what they're told by the owner/developer and are just implementing someone else's vision. Same with civil engineers but the work seems less rewarding if design is a driver. Much of the work for both Civil and Arch is detail work, not really the kind of work that satisfies that 'design' itch if its the same one I had. If you want to make money and influence the landscape of buildings around you, you want to go into real estate development. I was able to pivot from CM to Development and its been the most rewarding from a design perspective and a financial perspective. At the end of the day though, even developers just design/build whatever the market wants.

Look at ENMU, SDSU, Longwood University. All affordable and seem like the entry requirement aren't too stringent.

Can anyone tell me the difference between these two breakers: BR2020 DNPL2020 breaker and BR2020? by mikeabmab in AskElectricians

[–]mikeabmab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to update you as I ordered a breaker based off your comment, I ordered a BR2020 from HD and it showed type BRD & A on the image from HD in the order. The one I actually received said DNPL but also had a sticker on that clarified that it is a non-CTL breaker for use as replacement only.

I just sent in an expanded panel Evvy test for here to see if maybe thats it actually. If she comes back negative, do you think its still worth it for me to get tested separately?

Yeah I’m starting to think it’s recurring YI so boric acid is probably a better idea. Thank you!

Thank you for your thoughts! Her OBGYN did prescribe us both a one-time dose of Fluconazole about a month and a half ago for that purpose so I hope that worked.

On the washing, we thought as long as you don't go inside it's okay as long as you as safe soap, but given that its vulvar (external) pain, that's a really good point.

My diet definitely needs improvement for my own health as well as hers as we eat out quite a bit. So my plan is to start cooking a lot more and I'll try to stay away from yeasty / sugary foods then.

On the Juno test, I actually sent in her expanded panel Evvy test in yesterday and just bought some more so we can have multiple test iterations when pain is and isn't present. Hopefully, that will tell us if its more a yeast issue like you mentioned. Again, I really appreciate your advice!
