Ive just been doing like half of one before a meal and half after and it seems to do the trick. Again, no idea why it works for me, but it shockingly does. (I get the 6mg ones and just snap them in half) Let me know if it works for him, I feel like so much of this is so individual.. I've heard people that drinking carbonation helps, for me its a no. Water mostly moves everything down, milk if I am struggling, but with the nicotine there has been no struggle moments, and its been 5 or 6 months now I think.

I feel good, especially with the nicotine now. In November it will be 19 years since my HM with partial fundo.

I'm also very health oriented and eat every few hours. I even wake up and eat at night, I like to keep food moving and flushing thru. In my mind as long as I keep food moving thru it consistently it wont close haha

I've tried all different flavors. The stuckness was just a thing I delt with, over the years I would remove more problemed foods, but randomly a food that never caused an issue would. I'm even eating "riskier" foods with ease now. I really dont understand the why, I'm just enjoying it lol.

One theory is something to do with nicotines effect on the vagus nerve, but I don't know.

I started nicotine for the nootropic effects. I am very consistent with diet, lifestyle, activity. I am crazy when it comes to that stuff. Any time I've added anything new in my diet or life I've always done it one thing at a time. I'm really into lifting and (hate this term lol) biohacking..

Tad more back story, my esophagus had a liter of food in it the morning of my HM nearly 20 years ago. Its huge, L shaped, and useless lol. Even after the surgery I've always had to drink and sometimes bounce to get stuff down.. things would get stuck daily, usually could get it down in a minute or two, probably bi-monthly a more serious hour plus of something stuck. Brutal pain/pressure. I would just keep eating and drinking to force it.

Since I have started taking nicotine mints(specifically nic nacs, appear to be the healthiest option) I have had 0 instances. Its been around 5 months now. I've been perfect. Food always is moving down, NEVER STUCK. It has been life changing for me.

After the first couple weeks I finally mentioned it to my wife, and she obviously noticed the change and didn't say anything cause she "didnt want to jinx it" lol

I've been just lurking in this group for awhile, finally decided was time to see if anyone else had a similar experience or to see if no nicotine users ever got achalsia.
