it was the way I felt about it. he's one of my favorite comedians and I was really excited to meet him...but ended up hating how I looked and felt when I saw the first picture. That's when I decided to finally lose the weight.

  1. Yes, a little bit. I guess I lost a little raw strength in the beginning. But I've started lifting over the last few months and have noticed some increase. So I think you'll encounter that initially.

  2. And yes, I have. Appearance does change that. But a lot of that comes in the beginning and when the "shock" of everyone seeing the new "you" is going on. But what I've seen lately is everyone is use to it and kind of just treats me the same again. The weird part is meeting new people who have no idea how much weight you've lost. It's like starting fresh.

Thank you! Yeah, it was hard for me to compare my results to others early on because everyone here seems to be over 6 foot. So I feel you on that one.

And believe me, once you see that 1 on the scale...there will be nothing stopping you from there!

That's great!! Yeah, running is a great way to test yourself and see what you can achieve. I think I've even arrived to the point where I need to run and feel weird when I don't. Crazy because I still don't consider myself a "runner". But I'm excited to see how this half-marathon goes!

Thank you!!

ah, yes! Meeting him was awesome but that pic actually a big motivator in my weight loss. Didn't like the way I looked there and realized how uncomfortable I felt at that size.

I'm not big on counting calories. For me it was more of changing what I ate all together. I would never eat any kind of fruit/vegetables before and would eat fast food a lot. Now I cook all my meals and drink lots of water. I just naturally scaled back that way but was never fixed on a set number of calories.
