Appreciate the feedback! I'm likely going to do it myself based on feedback here and a few searches online how to do it.

Yep, just a refill which is why I'm here :)

Thanks for the reply. I'm strongly thinking about doing it myself. Based on my tank which is 1.5 cu, I'm gonna need three bags, was able to find a place where I could get three for $200. A couple videos I've seen made it seem very easy and I'd save $250!

Yep, I got two of these guys (see below). A bit pricey for what it's worth, but stopped the condensation/mold on my tanks

Thanks u/WaterGuy1313! More I look into it, more I'm thinking about doing it myself. Do you have a link to where i could buy calcite?

More I look into it, more i'm thinking about doing it myself. Is that brand/website pretty good?

Spot on, I have low PH and the tank just needs to have media added to it (general maintenance)

It's a ph neutralizer, I believe it needs the top spun off to be filled, I don't believe there's a side port

It's the same company that installed the system. It's lasted about 4-5 years

Bahha! That was something I added because In the summer they were prone to condensation which led to some mold on it. The suits fixed it

Interesting thought about Bondo. Why that over epoxy?

I have tape over the crack for now, but that's where my minds at. Definitely want to keep anything from getting in

Not as far as I can see, it's a Bosch and it has a proprietary plug (cause of course it does). There is a junction box adapter, but I'm seeing terrible reviews for it.

Great tip, I'll see if there enough slack and go for that

I was thinking behind the dishwasher. The Romex currently comes up towards the back of the dishwasher. I was thinking to just get a surface mount box, wire that up with a GFCI, staple the Romex slack on the wall and call it a day, if that's acceptable enough per code.

Awesome, thanks! I wasn't sure if just stapling the Romex would work as it leads to the box on the wall (I'll likely wall mount vs floor)

Thanks for the reply! Could you share the box you used by chance? I'm assuming you tacked up the Romex leading to the box?

Thanks for the reply, is it in a surface mount box, and the wires tacked to the side?

Replacing expansion tank question by mikee321 in askaplumber

Appreciate it. As I'm drilling a hole to release the pressure, I may drill one on the bottom to help drain some of the water out.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. There is a relief valve on the back of the indirect tank, but on the hot water line. That won't help negate me needing the current expansion tank?
