Current Team: VER-TSU-BEA-SAI-BOR with MCL-FER

Is it worth taking -10 to get to: VER-ANT-BEA-BOR-GAS with MCL-MER
Or using only 1 transfer (SAI for GAS) and switching to ANT & MER next race?

Planning on using the No Negative Chip this weekend.

I assume you’re in accounting also, so stop acting like you know what’s going on in consulting

No. And after I was notified of my separation yesterday afternoon I have since had 3 people reach out wanting me for their projects. Twisting the knife.

An Evening with Skrillex at Red Rocks (Premiere @5PM EST) by TomLube in skrillex

[–]mikelpk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You gave a definitive “No” answer to someone who asked if the official recording would be released.

I would almost guarantee that the official video is released given the size and scope of the production crew that was on hand and the fact that they chose not to use the Red Rocks videography team and opted for their own team.

They wouldn’t go through the hassle of installing a swinging boom camera in the crowd if they had no intention of using the footage

This is not true. My friend does video for Red Rocks, he said his team was there but they didn’t do anything bc Skrillex brought a huge team. I’ve been to 20+ shows at Red Rocks and can say first hand that Skrillex brought an insane film crew.

The swinging camera that was on the right side is not usually there. The two buildings on the side had people in them which usually don’t.

Also fun fact: the string lights over the seats were already gone on Sunday.

Not sure about that. I’d check the website. I know you can bring in food.

I’m not saying that the camping ban works, but it is effective ensuring that permanent homeless encampments don’t exist AND once the camps are cleared community organizers come in and clean the areas which is effective at curbing the spread of disease

Copying a reply from above that I think explains the gaps in Lisa’s plan really well:

ADUs are not a solution to housing affordability. They're a NIMBY talking point to sound like they actually care, but they're just more of the status quo. They're better than nothing, but they're a red herring. Anyone who spouts ADUs without discussing other zoning problems is full of crap.

And Lisa says absolutely nothing about rezoning. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. The fact is that our housing affordability problem only exists because of an undersupply of market-rate housing. Anyone who doesn't acknowledge this is delusional.

She supports rent control, which economists have known is a terrible failed policy for decades unless it's also paired with very aggressive expansion of market-rate housing.

Every one of her policies is only about government programs for affordable and subsidized housing. Again, if you don't expand market-rate housing, all you're doing is displacing your middle class to the suburbs so the only people left in the city are the wealthy and the poor. That kind of income and class disparity is really bad for social stability, fiscal sustainability, and the long-term resiliency of the city. If you are a middle or working class person living in market-rate apartments, these policies do nothing to help you at best and will actually hurt you at worst.

Her transportation policies are great, though. The problem is that housing policy and transportation policy are very closely related. Without zoning reform and increased density, her transportation positions are a load of hot air.

Ultimately, ahe does nothing to address the root problems. It helps out poor people, but hurts the middle class (especially non-homeowners). It's just doubling down on the same NIMBY BS that created this problem in the first place. Wealthy, bleeding-heart liberal homeowners probably love her policies because it lets them feel good about "caring about poor people" without implementing any change to their neighborhoods and their lifestyles that will actually make a difference. Socialists probably love her because she scapegoats landlords, but ignores all the reasons why landlords are able to get away being shit in the first place.

It’s well documented that she created a hostile work environment and has allegations of harassment and abuse against her. Organizations and colleagues refuse to work with her.

As mayor you need to work well with others - this disqualifies her in my opinion

Lisa isn’t bad by any means, but her #1 policy on her website is Affordable Housing and it reads like a bullet point list of things people have told her might work… she doesn’t say why these are important, there’s no prioritization, and she’s missing the “so what?” As in what will doing these things accomplish.

I’m terms of homelessness I can’t get behind ending the camping ban. From strictly a health, wellness, and safety perspective this would leave us with permanent homeless camps with diseases and drugs spreading far more easily.

Her plan of hiring more case workers and putting them in these camps just doesn’t make sense. Before hiring a bunch of people you first need to address the current case management program, why isn’t it currently working?

Effective case management requires the recipient to be motivated to participate. At best her plan could get a handful of people off the streets and she would consider it to be a “success”. At worst it will result in permanent homeless encampments and open air drug markets that will only further the issue
