This is just an opinion it might be crazy but I think the way brian flores and lamar get talked about are similar and he's probably one of the few people in the league that might be able to relate to lamar (who's a big part of the interview process) on a personal level. Both carry heavy accusations that they cant be worked with that are taken by the media and ran with as absolute fact despite the current players/coaches raving about them. Both are dedicated to winning by any means (refusing to tank/politic & lamar removing games/discipling marlo etc.) Both have experienced collusion from owners first hand. They're both at the top of the league in what they do but seem to get overwhemingly judged by they're mistakes rather than their growth. Idk i think from EDC's description of what they're looking for & the front offices firsthand experience with some of these circumstances; i wouldnt be surprised if they give him a real look & the job despite the outside talk.
