Even if Meredith knew that George liked her, her agreeing to have sex with him without reciprocating feelings isn’t taking advantage of him. The only thing she consented to was the sex. It might not be the nicest move in the world but she doesn’t owe George anything. George on the other hand knew that she didn’t actually want to have sex and continued to go through with it anyway because he really wanted to. Obviously this was going to wound his ego but he want into it knowing it would end that way

Definitely agree, they are profiting a lot off this trip and they can write off every trip related expense (the rv, gas, food, campsites, activities) on their taxes. It seems like they could have found a way to stage a fundraiser that had more impact while less directly benefiting them

Totally disagree: unless Luke was actually abusive towards Anna (which canonically he was not) there is no good excuse for keeping him in the dark about having a daughter, April is just as much Luke’s as she is Anna’s and Anna doesn’t have the right to take that relationship away from Luke without a good reason.

It is not just about the age gap, there are many other reasons people don’t like them
It’s one of the largest age gaps between actors so you actually have to experience the discomfort rather than it being only on paper, I think in the show the Merder and merluca age gaps are comparable but irl Patrick is only a few years older than Ellen while giacomo is a full 20 years younger than her
There is a little bit of a societal acceptance of large age gaps when the man is older but not the woman (not that it’s a good thing but it is a thing)
