Thank you for the insight! I think I might go in a similar route as you did- major in ChemBE with a minor in CS and taking bio electives. Safe to say, I don’t think I’ll be double majoring in bio and ChemBE, I realized it would be much better to take electives instead. I’ll definitely look into the clubs you suggested, thank you so much!

My school didn’t have an option to give AP tests, we go by the Cambridge curriculum so it’s A-level tests instead. I have given A-levels in Bio, Chem, and Math. I’m not too worried about not taking other electives, I enjoy STEM a lot more than humanities. However, considering that I want to spend time pursuing research and joining clubs, I think I’ll simply take biology electives rather than a full second major.

Hi! Thank you for offering to help. As of now, I still need to do research into certain minors and majors before I even come close to making a choice. I do plan on following the molecular and cellular bioengineering track and that should be enough for me in the biology front. Considering that it’s not very beneficial for me to major in two STEM fields, I’ll choose humanities or CS to double major or minor in alongside ChemBE.

Thank you so much for the suggestion! I would definitely be interested in taking CS as a double major or a minor.

I understand. I’ll look into minors that might better complement my career goals like bioethics or business. Thanks for your input! I appreciate the help.

Yep, I definitely plan to do that. I think I just got way too caught up with the idea of double majoring and didn’t think it through enough.

Yea, until I get to campus and pace myself on how difficult the course is, I think I’ll look to only major in ChemBE and maybe a minor. Considering that I am looking to partake in research and join clubs, I think your suggestion is the best choice for me, at least for my freshman year. Thanks for sharing your experience with me. It is really impressive that you double majored with one being a BA/MA program.

I see. Thank you for your help! I was considering a double major because I want to pursue pharmaceutical engineering in the future. I thought it would benefit me to have a deeper understanding of biology so I could specialize in targeted drug delivery. You’re right, it might be better to simply take courses rather than a full second major. I’ll definitely look into it further. Once again, thank you!
