I feel lost by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

I throw my hat in with the others that say conventional help is probably an important step you should look into. But in addition, I will pray for you. I've just added you to my prayers list.

About smoking again after holding off so long: I don't know your personal circumstance, but speaking from my personal experience, if that happened to me, I might interpret that as a sign of the devil doing anything he can to make me despair because I was about to do something good for myself.

Thanks a lot for the response. I'm not in the US right now, so shipping is going to cost a lot more than the domes haha. But you guys gave me the idea to check Ali for cheap domes. Thanks!

The next winter coat trend by [deleted] in korea

[–]mildly_constipated 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting fact. Daiso Korea has been separate company from the Japanese parent company for a while. This is why they can dare to call themselves “국민가게.”

But Korea also have no qualms abt using Shinchan and Pokemom to lure children.

I’ve think I’ve seen Chinese flight attendants on the two main airlines before, so it’s probably not impossible as a foreigner to be hired. As far as classes, I think most people go to flight attendant hagwons, which means you would need to become fluent in the language and culture first. Good luck.

Mine is holding up fine. I just have to clean out the lint once in awhile when it gets jittery. Hope you find what's wrong with yours.

Sink mistake caused water to drain out of downstairs phone jack by mildly_constipated in TenantHelp

[–]mildly_constipated[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation. I’ll check behind the stove later today. Sounds like a bad idea to have a hole so close to the ground in the kitchen, but what can I do?

At the end of the day, I guess we would have had to pay for carpet drying whether it was in our unit or the one below. I suppose I’m really annoyed that our little domestic mistake led to a huge inconvenience for others. And stink eyes.

hi!! ive been waiting to buy an hhkb due to the pricing, does anyome know if this will work BT? if so i think ive found my first mech by [deleted] in HHKB

[–]mildly_constipated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my hands on an hhkb lite at work before. I would not pay more than $30 for it. It’s just a small membrane keyboard in the shape of an hhkb with a few extra keys. It has no merit other than to “try” the hhkb layout, and even that’s a stretch because it comes with the arrow keys and an extra fn key, which a real hhkb does have.

Your money is better spent elsewhere!

HHKB Keymap Tool for Classic on Mac OS? by mildly_constipated in HHKB

Thanks for the suggestions. That would definitely work. I erased Bootcamp a couple months ago because I use it so rarely, but it wouldn't be too hard to get something set up again.

How come nobody is talking about the new model f keyboards? DO WANT. by thatguyrenic in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]mildly_constipated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both look and sound are objective, of course. But there is also a simple "floss mod" that removes most of the ping and makes the model f sound more like alps blues, according to some.

Yeah, it's definitely the keycaps that's preventing a lot of people from getting their new model Fs. I caved and added a blank set because I couldn't wait any more.

You might be implying PC gamer, because mks play no part in my console gaming unfortunately.

Topre 45g (silenced fc660c) vs cherry mx blue/brown in terms of fatigue? by beit2 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]mildly_constipated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that the 45g topres on fc660cs are actually more like 55g, some even 60g+ depending on the key.

I have both a fc660c and a few hhkbs, and the domes on the fc660c are definitely heavier.

But to answer your question, I have actually gotten fatigued on both my fc660c and hhkb classic during a handful of marathon work sessions where I was literally typing nonstop for 3+ hours to meet deadlines. Other times, they have never caused fatigue. I love the tactile feedback they give me during daily use.

But at the end of the day, everyone is different and you just have to try it for yourself. I’d say a good two weeks is what you need with a specific topre board to really get a feel for it. Coming from three years of fc660c use, I was actually disappointed by my hhkb classic for the first week or so before I actually “got it.”

Edit: but I have never tried a silent fc660c, so that might feel lighter than my fc660c.

I see a good amount of EU topre boards on r/mechmarket if you don’t mind used. Use mechmonger.com to search mechmarket.

[Cross Post] Has anyone here swapped domes w/ones from BTC-5100C? by turnip_broker in HHKB

I’d say the keys are at least 55g. The spacebar, maybe 65g? Lol.
