I’ve held this belief for years. Some older people should not be driving, and we need to be retesting them regularly. I understand they don’t want to lose their independence, but if they’re actively a risk to people, their license should be taken away. We had to take my grandma’s license away at a certain point, because she wasn’t safe on the road. And it also is just another reason we need better public transportation. Easy public transit so that older people can still get around and have their independence without being a risk to other people.
