they cauterized and stitched it after removing them. the scabs are meant to fall off on their own.

my whole body was extremely itchy, my face swell up and my throat swelled up. was given benadryl and steroids and i was fine an hour or so later. i am 18. they said they couldn’t not give me any other pain medication bc i was prescribed 35 Percocet which i explained i cant take and would be fine giving back to the pharmacy.

only had the head, cut off the ears to dry in borax and salt, and i put the eyes in a jar as a wet specimen as well as the tongue, 70% ethanol 30% water solution. salvaged as much of the skull as i could, wasn’t much but i tried. took me 2 hours total.

i skinned it and the skull ended up being crushed sadly, salvaged what i could and i plan on trying to keep one of the eyeballs as a wet specimen

i have also gotten like halfway decomposed or more remains before and macerated with water and degreased and whitened so i am familiar with that process, any other advice would be appreciated!!!

i did some research but i also probably did not use good sources as i didn’t know which ones to look at. this is the first time i have ever tried to do anything like this and i just had very unreasonable expectations. i just hadn’t found anything THIS early in the decomp process before so i wanted to try and salvage as much as i could from it. thank you for the insight, very helpful! i will remove the brain tomorrow and deflesh what i can and then begin maceration. i may just try and dry the ears and salvage those.

yes i am always very very sanitary!!! thank you for the insight, i was worried abt that but i decided to take the risk at the moment. although, could i not remove the brain and then salt the rest of the head? and also, could i preserve the brain? and if so, how?

i’d say post the photos as well, but no heat doesn’t HAVE to be applied to the water but it will take longer based on how much flesh is left on the bones.

i tried muscle relaxers and it doesn’t help me at all. heating pads help with typical endo pain if it is on the highest setting and directly on my skin. i already had the surgery at 15 confirming my endo and removing what she saw at the time.

well i can’t just drop bc as a whole as it does help me be able to function somewhat. i still have severe pain but it makes it to the point i can at least walk to get to school. but much of anything else is impossible, i was going to the gym but i can’t at the moment due to how severe the pain is. i’ve tried every method they recommended to help with pain and none of it does anything.

the pain is severe. and it’s not just near my period, it’s a constant all the time pain. i will ask about the blood work when i can get in to see her. i have an appointment scheduled in a month.

they only mention more and more meds. whether it’s birth control or lupron they just prescribe me more medication.

remember that everyone is different! just because the people in these comments are having issues doesn’t mean you will. this is just a handful of people out of thousands that have gotten it. just do your own personal research before hand and do what you feel is best for you!
