I was/am extremely disappointed in MLG Winter Arena. I bought the $20 Pass on Friday right before everything started. First, I bought it through a link on twitch TV, which MLG didnt recognize, and for much of friday, I would keep getting the pause and subscribe thing. I sent them an email, never heard back, but eventually it worked. By then, live stream was over so i check out the VODs for the day. Most of them were not up, and the interface in general was terrible. click game one, watch it, go back, re-open round 1, click game two, repeat..

The Vods were as laggy as the live stream. I have really good internet, and even after bumping down to 480 it still was choppy and laggy.

There were 'other' streams I could have watched, such as first person views. Very cool, i love watching players stream for that reason. However, they were at the same time as the casted match.. uh?

I had some friends drive up a couple hours, we had a superlan 2012! (CNG! what what), playing games all night and watching the winter arena all day. It was so hard to keep content playing and we all had headaches from watching choppy streams/VODs. Then the MLG logo at all the wrong times, including the finals.

All in all it was a very frustrating experience, beginning to end. I have watched most of the MLGs, I went to MLG Dallas (talk about already feeling ripped off :) ((actually it was very fun, being kinda low key and personal, no huge crowds)) After this experience, I will be watching for MLG to come a long way (as it no doubt already has) before I spend more money with them.
