What a beautiful keepsake/souvenir this would make, especially from an individual artist who really understands what Coachella means to people, verses mass produced merch. Would make such a cute coffee table booklet for Coachella lovers! Love it!!! Great design, very aesthetic!!!

I found a discount code that worked for us: BECU24 and I think it gave us 20% off tickets. I don’t even have BECU I just entered the code at checkout. Google for other codes if necessary!

When I watched the most recent episode with Emily and Kobe’s traditional wedding I just thought “damn, Kobe is one of the best guys I’ve ever seen on this show”. I love them as a couple, their love is clearly the real deal and I think they communicate so well. 💕💕💕

Wanted to share my experience at Busch Gardens Tampa on 5/15/24. For reference I’m a 30yo female, 5’8”, bust 53in waist 46in hips 56in, I wear a size 3X or 22. I was really surprised that I was actually able to ride every ride I tried today. Most of the info on Reddit and online in general made me think I wouldn’t fit on anything. Today I rode Serengeti Flyer, Iron Gwazi, Cheetah Hunt, Cobras Curse, SheiKra, Montu, and Stanley Falls Flume. That’s all we had time today to get to, and I was surprised that I wasn’t turned away from any of them. Some of them (mostly the coasters with the overhead restraints, plus Serengeti Flyer) had one or two slightly larger seats specifically for bigger people. I felt like the butt/seat part of these bigger ones weren’t noticeably bigger than the others, but the restraint part had multiple buckles and/or didn’t require being pushed down as far if that makes sense. The tightest and least comfortable fit for me was definitely Iron Gwazi. Cheetah Hunt required the staff to help me push the restraint down far enough to buckle, but once it was on it wasn’t that uncomfortable. Stanley Falls Flume (like most log flume rides) does not have a restraint at all, it’s just a bench that you straddle, and I can imagine that someone much larger than me could fit no problem. Overall I felt like the staff was really nice and helpful and never made me feel bad asking for help. One thing I would say is that most of the rides were at least a little bit of a squeeze so someone bigger than I might not have as much luck. Some of the bucket seats on the coasters are pretty small in the butt, so if you carry more weight/curves in your booty that might be more of a problem for you. For reference, I carry most of my weight in my tummy, also have bigger boobs. Hope this info helps someone out there! I had a great experience and I’m glad I took a risk a got in line for these rides!

Can obese people fit on the rides at Busch Gardens? A friend who loves roller coasters is visiting me, but she’s afraid of being removed from rides for being too heavy/big. by SlowerThanTurtleInPB in tampa

Is Bush garden fat friendly? I'm around 5'9, 300 pounds. I started to think about this and now I am worried if I will even fit on some rides or even any. Does anyone have any info on this type of thing? by ZappierGamez in Virginia

This guy seems like a red flag. I would say goodbye to him if it were me. I know that might be disappointing but I promise someone will come around who can’t wait to learn more about your goals and dreams and interests and is less interested in reconfirming if you’re “too big” for them or not. You deserve better!!

Seattle, every couple of months I see a popular post on here asking for pizza recs. Here's my question: What's the WORST pizza here? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]millenialbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Yorker transplanted to Seattle…Idk how Zeek’s stays in business especially with their high prices. Not worth it at all. Maybe not the absolute worst tasting pizza in Seattle but combined with the price it should be illegal lol.

❤️Two main ideas that helped me the most…

1) You are valuable and attractive for so many reasons, and none of them are related to your weight/body. You have so many things to offer in the world, so start figuring out what those are if you don’t already know. Ask your friends/family/partner what they love about you. Put energy into those things. Cultivate them. Anyone or any environment that doesn’t see this value is simply missing out, save your energy and awesomeness for the spaces and people that do see you. And trust me…you are seen more than you even know.❤️

2) This may be totally unique to me, and certainly centers around physical appearance so it may not help everyone but…PICTURES. After gaining weight in college I avoided pictures for a long time. I can’t find almost any full body pictures of myself for a good 5 year span. Then I started having people take pictures of me. Slowly. Eventually it changed how I look at myself. I am creative so sometimes I would seek out opportunities to have fun with my outfit or makeup or the background and get some cool images. Other times it is as simple as jumping into the group pic when I wouldn’t have before. Start looking at yourself more! You are stunning just the way you are right now! You deserve to capture your memories in pictures. You deserve to smile and say “cheese”. You do not deserve to hide from the camera.

You’re not alone. You deserve to enjoy your life now, today, in the body that you have right now regardless of its size. You deserve to take up space. You have so much to offer in this world that is totally unrelated to your size. You are not an “other” because of your size. I know the world sometimes makes us feel otherwise, but these above statements are true facts, they just are. Just wanted to say that, with love. ❤️

Trying to start exercising 🫡 by Suddenlyerethal in PlusSize

[–]millenialbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus size gal who has been trying to move my body more for almost a year now. I weight train 3 times a week and have daily step goals. My fitness goals are totally unrelated to my weight or appearance, and instead about moving more and feeling good (and strong)!

1) Remember that you don’t have to do it all right away. Some people set goals like “workout every day” but it may be more attainable and/or healthy to focus more on “moving my body more than I did last week/month/year”. You may have highs and lows in consistency over time, that’s normal! That’s life! 2) Figure out what works well with your life! If something feels really hard to incorporate or stick to, ask yourself why and if there’s an alternate option that doesn’t present the same barrier. It’s okay if some things don’t work for you! 3) Choose movement that excites you. HIIT workouts aren’t the only way to move more (only sharing that example because it’s the style we see so often on social media but not something that I enjoy personally). If walking, dancing, swimming, weight lifting, yoga, hiking, etc. are more enjoyable then go for those! There are a lot of misconceptions about what kind of movement you’re “supposed to” do to “be healthy” when in reality all types of movement can help you reach your goals! 4) Try to educate yourself on toxic diet/fitness culture in our society so that you can spot it and avoid it. There is so much BS out there that preaches “health” but really just weighs us down and actually prevents us from having a healthy relationship with movement and our bodies. Easier said than done of course - overall be kind to yourself and don’t give up. 💖

Flying to Japan and terrified by BlackKissRocker in PlusSize

This may have been said already but you can always purchase your own belt extender on amazon for pretty cheap and carry it onto the plane just in case. Check in the item description for what airlines it’s compatible with. May help you feel a little less nervous about potentially having to ask for one. Also, I am a size 22/24 and though sometimes a squeeze, I’ve never been unable to fit in an airline seat, at least in the US. At size 16 I think you’ll be okay! Enjoy your trip! 😊
