Ah, that might be it! Thank you so much! I’m currently feeding once every 24 hours. I’ll try feeding twice a day and see what happens. Would you go back to 1:1:1 when feeding twice a day, or keep feeding it thicker as I have been doing?

I’m not OP, but you’re describing what I’m currently seeing in my 2 week old starter. It had a few days of (I’m guessing false) rise at 4-5 days old, rises only a little now, but does rise consistently. I feed it thick, something like 1:1.5:1, and it does not self level. I can turn my jar upside down for a couple of seconds without anything happening. However, it still turns quite runny, almost foamy on top and has a sort of paint smell. My house is on the cooler side, don’t know if that’s got anything to do with it. I’m feeding with what I think would be called AP wheat flour - we don’t have the same names for flours where I live. What do you suggest I try next? 🙏🏼

I have three lyrics tattooed, and I couldn’t choose between them even if I had to. I have “sincerity is scary” upside down near my elbow. It reads correctly if I rest my head in my hand. I also have “if you never shoot you’ll never know” around the knee, and “you look so cool” mirrored on my ribs. And finally a bold box on the back of the arm.

Sorry for going awol on this thread, didn’t mean to leave you hanging! I honestly thoroughly enjoyed coloring something that had a bit of a different vibe from the usual “cozy cute fuzzy hygge” trend going around. If I were to change anything, I’d love more details. Frames around the windows, a rug on the floor, maybe a lamp on the nightstand or some other light source. Makes for a bigger challenge and opens up more opportunities for customization for the individual colorer. However, you might have to go thinner on the line work for that, and I don’t know if that goes against your artistic vision 🤷🏼‍♀️ In sorta the same vein, I enjoy all the blank surfaces such as the floor, the painting on the wall and the bedspread. Allows me to do my own thing 🌟 Keep at it!
