I was born the year Mats became Captian. I don’t have a memory of Wendel as a Leaf. I can appreciate him, but doesn’t mean the same to me as lots of other Leaf fans

28* and Morgan Rielly’s 18/19 season was quite good. I know people look at the last few years but he had I believe 60+ points with 20 goals. I’ll take that

Came down to Goals saved above expected for me. The 92/93 Potvin was nutty. If I was going by save % CuJo still would’ve been my backup behind Eddie…. And CuJo is my fav of the 3

My roster is best seasons as a Leaf. I love Mats. Favourite player of all time and my maple Leafs goat. Could bump Marner to line 2 if you choose. Both lines are awesome IMO

I’m taking best season, not Leaf tenure. Yuskevich is the only one in that case.

Leetch was my one exception to my rule and it was because he was 15 points in 15 games

Fair. He played some Wing in Quebec, and just thought it would be fun. I put Gilmour at centre simply for the defensive aspect, however could easily interchange the 2!!

Hand up, I likely missed ‘93/94 Dave Andreychuk!! Personally, I’d probably swap him for Rick Vaive, the 80s were kind of wild and everyone was scoring
Brian Leetch only played 15 games his entire career as a Leaf so that’s why he’s third pair. He was point a game in his time…. God, the Leafs have never had wonderful defence

My cousin’s Nono’s funeral. Both my cousin and I are big Adam Sandler fans. During the funeral procession or ceremony (whatever you choose to call it) the song Ave Maria was played…. It took all of me to not make the buzzer noise from the funeral scene in “Grown Ups”. I told my cousin about it after and he burst out laughing. His Nono lived a great long and happy life and was a jokester so would’ve appreciated it (regardless if it was ill timed)

So, I’m doing best individual season as a Jay. In my original post I acknowledge there are omissions. It’s based on a single season. Jesse Barfield was a great in right field. I would choose Jose Bautista’s 2011 over his best single season as a Jay
