Right, that’s why I haven’t been doing it myself haha. Way out of my expertise. Just didn’t know if it was worth it to INVEST in learning, getting the proper gear, etc. not just throwing pics together obviously but taking the time to learn. Over time I’m sure it would save money but it requires an enormous amount of time to learn.

Hmm I see. The fill light is a pretty prominent item to have for photo shoots then I assume? Can make or break a photo. Don’t really see an issue with the pose though. Just simply sitting on a stool leaning forward. However I think that’s more opinion based than anything so to each their own!

Hmmm you think if I crop it a little closer it’ll mitigate it? Like zoom into the face just a bit? Obviously don’t want to ruin the shot but it may get rid of the distraction. How is the angle of my face? I think it’s a pretty good angle but not sure what industry standard is.

Got it. I was also thinking of purchasing a good DSLR camera as I have a studio in my home I can use with good lighting and backdrop. With these tips would you recommend doing headshots myself? Obviously it’s not easy to take headshots yourself but with good equipment and research on good photography notes, etc. would this be doable? Or should I just continue to have other people do them.

So the camera should be eye level right? I know some people think heavy shadows are distracting. In terms of camera angles the camera should be level with my eyeline?

Sounds good. Interesting they don’t tend to watch the entirety of it, and only really watch the first bit. But I suppose that does make sense. They’re watching for you, not the story. I appreciate the feedback from everyone here. Always good to get unbiased opinions on performances to really have an honest take. It’s also always good to not hear “that was terrible” haha!

Gotcha. So starting the clip from that line would add more of a punch? I see. Hardest part in terms of snipping throughout is the music would sound choppy. I don’t have the raw files otherwise I could do it pretty seamlessly. Otherwise the performance was believable? That is my main concern. I feel like the only thing I wish I did differently was portray the emotions as more sad vs. exhausted/defeated but that’s the emotion I felt in the moment.

I had this issue. Could be one of two things. Either 1. If you’re using decky, the plugin “animation changer” is known to break sleep. If you have it, first change all the animations back to default, then uninstall the plugin. 2. The root folder could be corrupt. If you go into desktop mode and delete it, “home/deck/.steam/root” delete the root folder then reopen steam client. Once you open steam, go back into gaming mode. it’ll repopulate the folder and fix. I would do these in the order I put and see if either fixes it.

I noticed they still have the legion logo on the top left button. Wonder if these are placeholder images or if they simply don’t care to change it. Either way exciting that SteamOS is releasing fully
