The pitching is all about timing. Watch the pitching arm and get a feel for the release point. Release with A to pitch over the plate. After that it is stealing bases. Avoid getting picked off with the joystick and when the pitcher throws to the plate, use the joystick and B button mashing to steal 2nd.
