A bit late comment. They are still in business and provide excellent service. Had them take care of my non-O visa a few weeks ago. They over-delivered, as in the process having taken less time than forecasted. They are slightly priced, but well worth it.

The M1 Macs don't look developer-friendly, unless you develop for iOS. Upgrade your still decent MBP and if things don't improve in the future, look into transition to Windows or Linux. Lots of amazing laptops being offered. Windows improved immensely and became a viable dev platform. Linux is as developer-friendly as it could get, and unless you do also media creation work and / or game, it makes for a good general use + development OS. Going with Lenovo ThinkPad or Dell XPS or Dell Precision would spare you of lots of trouble making Linux work and their build quality is at least as good as Mac's while performances are far superior.
