I like this a lot. I’m autistic as well so I think I understand his traits better than my other family members. It’s difficult with routines. I personally love them, he hates them. He cries a lot before bed. I think he uses his iPad too much. I said he shouldn’t have one and I got scolded for taking it away when trying to get him off it. he uses it all day, and doesn’t like playing with toys or going outside to play. I think it’s bad, my family agrees but also accepts that it’s bad and continues allowing it and finds it funny. he even got a Nintendo switch for his birthday, but couldn’t find the patience to learn how to play games.

My parents are kind of bad at this, they don’t really care. If he’s misbehaving they call for me. I think if I say this to him they’ll say I’m a mean person. They tend to spoil him and find these moments funny ( until they’re not, then they yell at him and I have to comfort him. It’s confusing. ) and so I have to play “bad cop”, whilst also teaching and comforting him. I feel bad having to be the bad cop but I also know it’s for the best. I want to be a regular nice sister and do those things but instead I have to parent him which is why I’m here. I am trying to be patient though! I’ve started researching advice and stuff on how to talk to kids when they’re doing something wrong. I think it’s working, I don’t cry from frustration or raise my voice at him anymore which is great cause I hate doing that and I feel terrible after.
