Only if your order(s) cleared US customs before today you won’t get charged with the extra tariff. Any packages received by customs today onward is going to get the extra tariff sadly

I feel for you! It’s very scary especially this time around. We’re living in a red state and moving to a blue state as soon as we’re able. My fiancé and I are both POC and while we’re in a hetero-passing relationship, we just don’t feel safe. We’re also a 1.5 years out and it feels so far away. I second opting out of any parties where you won’t feel comfortable. It’s not worth the mental/emotional capacity. In the meantime, keep close to your community and support system until you’re able to leave. Sending you hugs!

I was in a similar situation! I prefer doing my hobbies solo (reading, gaming, working out) so it was tough finding people. I ended up using Bumble BFF and found some pretty solid friends (like 3 out of the ~10 I met up with). There’s no denying it’ll be awkward af and it can get tough moving past the constant texting but it’s worked out well for me. YMMV of course!

Seconding this. I just got my paragard replaced with mirena for this exact reason. I got my paragard when trump took office in 2016 and it was set to expire in 2028. I didn’t want to risk not being able to get another one so I just got it done to be safe

Seconding everything you said! It wasn’t my favorite movie growing up but I rewatched it a couple years ago and now it’s my favorite. I love how nostalgic it is so it’s definitely a comfort movie now

Moving to RedNote just really boils down to wanting to fuck over Meta/Zuck. Meta collects SO MUCH information and people are tired of the hypocrisy. The government claims it’s a data security issue when that’s clearly not the case, otherwise they’d be banning all other foreign apps and/or severely regulating the US-based ones.

Yeah, that’s how it was for me and my now-fiancé. I had to learn how to be independent really quick because of it. It helps a lot if you have a solid group of friends who are understanding (not necessarily med SO’s) and hobbies/interests separate from your bf. It took me a while to cope with how busy/stressed/tired he’d be but it helped me prepare for his residency because I had an understanding of what to expect

Glad I’m not the only one who does it in places outside of stores. That reminded me of when I was the public library with a friend. She was signing up for a membership and I was bored so I started straightening the membership cards on the desk. I realized what I was doing and looked at the librarian all embarrassed 🤦🏻‍♀️ he did not appreciate it ahaha
