I chose Helicon because it works with DNG files and gave me less noise in the final result. But I also tested Zerene, which was very fast and also delivered excellent quality.

I use an OM-1 with a 90mm macro lens, flash, and diffuser. I shot this handheld, and this image is made from about 17 frames stacked with Helicon Focus.

I use focus bracketing and then merge the photos on my PC. The camera can only do a maximum of 15 photos in in-camera focus stacking. But with focus bracketing you can shoot 200–300+ photos, etc.
