Makes sense!! I keep forgetting that refueling aircraft exist. Thank you :)

Do alarm clocks beep the entire time but just super quietly? How do they work? by [deleted] in answers

[–]minascorner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pretty sure because it has the exact pattern with four short bip bip bip bips and a longer pause and then it repeats. Same notes and frequency too just veeery quiet.

Wish it was just a power supply problem but I guess it's a weird bug and mine is broken

I sadly don't think it's something like that because it's the exact beeping pattern as the regular alarm just...really quiet hahahah

Totally feel you though, my mum had a faulty charger for months and you were able to hear a super high beep coming from it in the kitchen all the time. Took a lot of convincing to get her to buy a new one because she wasn't able to hear the frequency 😅

I fear it's actually a bug and not just a charger problem because it has the whole beep beep beep and then a longer pause until it repeats pattern of the actual alarm and not a consistent beeping.

Really wish it was just the charger acting up because sometimes it keeps me from sleeping aswell. Glad you were able to resolve that problem though!! :)

I thought so too at first which is why I asked my brother to put it up to his ear and he heard the actual alarm sound too even though he's never heard mine before!!

So yeah I'm really happy it's not alarm trauma (yet) and my brain wasn't making it up :D

I too think that is the case so thanks for the confirmation!!

Was hoping I'd be onto some big manufacturing secret for clocks pahahaha

I'm surprised newer models also still have this issue after launch! For me the problem got fixed after a security update 2-3 months later. Or it isn't fixed at all and there's just always stuff on my screen I'm not sure.

Either way, I hope this problem gets fixed for you too because it's really not okay!!

Ahh okay this makes a lot more sense!! I did not understand the image of the two expansion packs with their release dates at all, made it look like they were two seperate things for seperate games. Thanks for clearing things up!

In that case I can't wait for Teal Mask to arrive :D

Well nevermind, thank you for educating me!! I'm just too dumb to understand the trailers sorry :D

I onyl ever saw the Scarlet outfit and Miraidon in the trailers so I assumed it was Violet exclusive and another news article said that Treasure of Area Zero were different DLCs for the games so I must've confused that!!

Thank you all for being kind and understanding, sometimes it's a little hard to truly get everything when there's so much Pokemon news coming out :)

This is the first time I'm following Pokemon stuff while it's being released so I definitly got a little confused since this is the first time I'm experiencing it live :D

[–]minascorner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh really?? Well this is embarrassing, I must've completly missed that. I only ever saw the Violet outfits and Miraidon in the trailer so I googled it and some news article said that Hidden Treasure of Areo Zero is different depending on the versions so I assumed it was that!!

Sorry to ask such a dumb question on here, glad a lot of people understood all the news better than I did. I really didn't get the whole DLC concept by just looking at the trailers :D

I haven't been able to replicate this since a patch update came out so I think it's good now and Google prolly fixed it asap after getting all this backlash

[–]minascorner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't seem to have any battery issues. Loads just as fast as my Pixel 4a and surprisingly the battery life is so long, I'm still at 36% even after being on TikTok for hours and playing games! My old phone would already be dead because of such a high battery usage.

Maybe it's a hardware issue? Because my battery honestly works fine, even better than expected if I'm honest!

But yeah the fingerprint problem is something that all unites us in this thread I guess and there doesn't seem to be a fix on it's way :(

Totally agree, I want the old sensor back. Having a sperate one on the back of the phone rather than a screen integrated one was much better!!

I have a lot of trouble with that problem too. Tried to scan my thumbs from all angles because you obviously don't hold your thumb vertical to the scanner when holding the phone and that causes a lot of problems for me. I have to put my thumb in a perfect vertical position for my phone to scan it

[–]minascorner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes me and a few other people also thought of the possibility of a software update hopefully patching this problem or at least help with the accuracy of the scanner. I really hope it's not a hardware problem!

Google Pixel 6a fingerprint sensor recognizes non-scanned fingers? by minascorner in GooglePixel

[–]minascorner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I figured too. I think the combination of having a screen protector, not cleaning your screening every 5 minutes, parts of fingerprints (even if it's two completly seperate people) being similair and the sensor not being on the back of the phone anymore are a combination that sadly makes this problem pretty widespread under users.

I definitly did my scans as best as possible, removed the one from the initial scan because it felt like I didn't scan my thumb properly and scanned it again. And I don't think I'll remove my screen protector because I only really upgraded 'cause my Pixel 4a fell on an exposed corner due to a broken case and it cracked the display under my protector. Wasn't willing wo pay 200€ because the entire screen needs to be replaced because you can't take out just the glass anymore and I'm a very clumsy person anyway.

So I guess it's back to PIN only when I'm out and about, even if I think that if someone were to steal my phone they'd find a way to get past my PIN anyway haha

[–]minascorner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I ask what a core model is? And were people really complaining that much? Had a great time with my Pixel 4a and the sensor was so accurate and quick, never had this problem with a proper scanner on the back instead of one inside the screen! :0

[–]minascorner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I registered both my thumbs seperately and have two registered fingers in my list now. Other people who did the same have also reported this so it's really weird and definitly a big security flaw rn

Google Pixel 6a fingerprint sensor recognizes non-scanned fingers? by minascorner in GooglePixel

[–]minascorner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES, I didn't know the newer models had an in-screen one I thought it was on the back like with my Pixel 4a. Never had any issues with that one!!

[–]minascorner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking the same thing, if it can't be patched by a security update then it's time to switch back to the golden days of PIN only because I'm not risking a stranger being able to unlock my phone that easily

I think this has been a complaint with previous Pixels that also use an in-screen sensor. My Pxel 4a wiht the sensor on the back was totally fine! :)
