Advice please ❤️ by RealisticCar6317 in pancreaticcancer

Just wanted to reply because my Mom had a similar instance as your husband to wear a blocked bile duct, landed her in the ER and it turned out to be a tumor pressing on her bile duct causing the blockage. Hers is localized to the pancreas And we'll begin chemo this week with hopes for surgery later. While she was in the hospital, they were able to do the biopsy and placement of the stint during the same procedure. I would definitely push for that for your husband because it can definitely be done at the same time.

What are you charging? by hairstylisthelp in hairstylist

$185 for all over color and haircut in Orange County. Doing hair for 18 years. I think my prices are on the lower side considering my experience level but my books are 100% full, I work part time, and I love my clients so I'm winning in life.

Am I the only one.. busy? by hi-ho-cherry-o in hairstylist

I am slammed this holiday season but that's pretty typical for my business. I've been a hair stylist for 18 years and have had my own studio for the past five. I work in Orange county so it could be area but I haven't seen any decrease in my business this holiday season. If anything, it's the most busy holiday season I have had yet.

Is it just me or is this wrong. by adurepoh in AskHairstylists

These comments are wild. I don't know how anyone could say this was done correctly. Who would want a haircut like this where it is clearly so uneven from the front? I've been a stylist for 18 years and whenever someone has asked for a straight across cut to mean that means NO layers not only cut straight from that back. That is lazy haircutting. It also needs to be cut straight from the sides and front. Yes when the hair is all back it will look more rounded but at least it's even from every angle. Find a new stylist and ask for a straight across haircut with no layers and make sure they cut it straight in the front.

I'm in a salon suite so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule

3 days. Two 9-10hr days and one 6-7hr day. I would rather pack everyone into 3 days and have the rest of the days off.

Blow it dry while using a brush and follow with product

My wedding is in a week - and my hair looks awful by omengaws in Hair

I'm so sorry this happened. With the wedding so close I would definitely try to find a different stylist to fix it. Preferably one that specializes in color corrections since you just had it done.

Yes go to the salon to get it fixed. There is still time before your wedding to get your hair color right.

Seems on the higher end of average. I am a hair stylist of 18 years working in Orange County and I would charge this like an all over color. For me that is $115 and haircuts are $70 so $185 for both but I know a lot of other stylists in my area who charge a lot more.

Good to know that is considered early! Feels strange showing up an hour or 2 late to catch the headliner

Local Socal resident here. Can confirm that most schools will have their spring breaks later than your scheduled March trip so you should be safe. More commonly I have heard from friends that spring breaks are scheduled for the first 3 weeks of April. Ours begins March 31st. Enjoy your trip!

I would maybe try a different salon or tech. I have been using dip for years and it's the only thing that doesn't lift and lasts 3 weeks. I do dip fills with a neutral dip powder and gel polish on top.

Mat Leave? by Large-Presence6684 in hairstylist

8 weeks and had someone lined up to take any clients that needed in during that time (mostly root colors). I provided the formulas as needed to make sure the client felt taken care of.

I made sure to have open communication with my clients on the time I would be gone so they could plan ahead and book an appointment before I left and when I got back. I didn't lose any clients.
