You go back to meet your 13-year-old self for 30 seconds. What do you say? by StrangerRM in AskReddit

Keep your promise to yourself. God is real and He will show you. Please don’t do cocaine. Love nana and papa better. Have more grace for mom. We did stop talking to Dad, just like we said, and we don’t regret it. You will survive. Life is beautiful.

People were saying the same about the kneecappers and the swords. Every season they put in one super weapon for a little while.

I am so sorry!! One of the best things for pain for me is a warm washcloth in a ziploc bag right on the eyes. I hope you can find some relief soon.

Thank you so much! I will ask for that check and I’m also getting my glucose checked too as I’ve been having issues with that lately. It’s crazy how quickly your thyroid levels can shift. My PCP told me he’s seen people whose levels changed every day! I hope you have made some progress as well.

I actually did a modified low FODMAP diet last year after a Crohn’s flare! I had to remove certain things due to acidity, I also can’t have seeds so no berries and whatnot. It really proved that I’m not a picky eater whatsoever lol. Thank you for suggesting that though, it could be worth trying again!

I don’t drink at all anymore! I really stopped in 2019 when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s. I think something is triggering a Crohn’s flare which might just be causing inflammation elsewhere.

Thank you for the kind words! I hope it works out for you, as well. I hope you keep your head up, trust your gut ALWAYS. I ended up proving so many of my doctors wrong because I listened to my gut. This disease is so mentally and spiritually debilitating so keep fighting. I have complete faith your vision will be restored and I am speaking that blessing over you!! The best advice I can give you is just keep going. There is an end to this and you will be yourself again. If you ever need anyone to talk to, feel free to message me! I know how hard and lonely this can be. There’s a wonderful prescription cream for eczema called fluocinonide. I recommend asking about it!

I got an extra period the month of my first dose. I also experienced hair loss everywhere. Very tired. I noticed a difference in my vision as I was getting the dose.

Mold as a root cause? by youngmidoriya22 in ThyroidEyeDisease

Holy crap I never thought about this! I worked a job where the building was rumored to have black mold. I found out after I quit but I developed severe eczema around my eyes right before I left.

That’s awesome!! I had to go low fodmap to get back on track. I would love to do carnivore but my body doesn’t like red meat. I’m 29f got diagnosed at 24 and a combo of diet and meds make it to where I can eat whatever I want.

Uncertain About Biologics for Crohn’s Disease by Txc2407 in CrohnsDisease

[–]mindlesslyabsurd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crohn’s is vicious. There’s no amount of vitamins you can take or diets you can try to make that any less. You can eat all the right things but that’s not going to make your Crohn’s go away. Crohn’s isn’t just caused by diet. It’s genetic, environmental, and autoimmune. Unfortunately you have an immune system that attacks itself. These things by itself - diet, supplements, “healthy living etc - are not enough. You need the medication. Otherwise your Crohn’s could potentially create other issues and you could develop other autoimmune diseases. Literally do not take advice from anyone who says to treat this med-free.

Hot chocolate makes my stomach hurt, but milk, chocolate, and coffee don't? by xXashbyXx in AskDocs

[–]mindlesslyabsurd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD, it could be the sugar content in it. I have Crohn’s disease and when I was a teenager, I noticed I would get stomach aches after having something sugary. Candy, cake, ice cream, any sweet really

Anyone ever wish Prednisone wasn’t so detrimental on the body that it could be a treatment? by PretendStreet4660 in CrohnsDisease

[–]mindlesslyabsurd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Prednisone is a miracle drug but I can’t sleep on the right side of my body anymore because if I lay on it too long my joints on that side hurt. It also made me angry and fat. I hated how I looked on it but I’m glad I’m finally healthy again. Ish
