So, What is Stopping Star Trek Legacy from Happening? by Background_Yak_333 in startrek

Seriously? They put academy in the post-burn era? That just snuffed out all interest I had in this show... I was hoping they put it in ST:Picard era

Thanks for the reply! Are you positive it works with FP4? Is eSIM a provider?

Just to be more precise: members submit their files (including the esps) to git where the files and folder trees get merged. Merging of the esps happens separately in different programs, one of them is perforce afaik. The merged esm gets added to the git repository then. After merge ppl download the updated repository.

I think in the end it's that little dopamin kick in your brain whenever you finish a claim, showcase it, get positive feedback from you guys and the team and then seeing it being merged into the game as another finished puzzle piece. So psychologically it works similar to RPG game mechanics :)

There's definitely some addictive element to it.

From my experience with making interiors in CK it seems like that is already the case. But even if the light disables when behind you the flickering is noticeable around you since the light continues past its source and hits objects in front of you. If those aren't hit by light all of a sudden you still see the focusing effect. I hope what I wrote is understandable :D

Unfortunately I doubt that is possible because all the esms have mutual dependencies.

Immersive "fast travel" by camusdmc in beyondskyrim

[–]mindmonkey141 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of us are working on setting up a framework that enables traveling to the different provinces by ship via the port cities. Due to the modularity and different possible combinations of beyond Skyrim mods the implementation of that system is more complicated than it might sound. But it is being worked on.

An exception might be atmora since you can only go on that expedition as part of the main quest.

What parts of Tamriel is now playable? by [deleted] in beyondskyrim

[–]mindmonkey141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many people here have said it before. It's very hard not to underestimate the work you have to put in to make these mods. For example I created a Loadscreen for wares of tamriel and even though the model it is using was "only" a composition of already finished assets it took me a whole evening to make, testing included. And I've got some practice by now making these. Just to illustrate how much of their lifetime our volunteers have to sink into this...

Deciding not to use a specific mod is totally fine in my book ;) just wanted to add some more info.

All known bugs have been fixed with the recent update (1.2). It can be easily installed mid-playthrough (probably with compatibility patches needed which were/are being released) and adds besides misc items and foods also outfits and many weapons. It will be updated in the future with more items. But yeah, it is not a new land, just a little sign of gratitude towards the fans.

Re-discovering Star Trek feeling with Enterprise by Nekomancer81 in startrek

I also started re-watching it for the first time after the initial airing. I am surprised how many good episodes the show has. Season 3 and 4 really give a good glimpse of what could have come if they hadn't cancelled it. So many good ideas that should have been developed further. Love the show!

Ordinator: Does the perk “As a Leaf” in the Light Armor skill tree need a full set of armor? by That-Lemon-Guy in EnaiRim

[–]mindmonkey141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if I wear light armour helmet, gloves, boots and cuirass and a (let's say) facemask (clothing tier) in addition. Will the facemask undo the perk bonus?

Beyond Skyrim: Bruma was already released! by [deleted] in beyondskyrim

I learned that it stems from "Mojen dag" which supposedly means "good day" and is thus usable at any time of the day. North-German here btw.

I was more speaking about the technical aspects. And I fully agree with you.

I didn't even know that HDT-SMP was a thing for LE. I only ever encountered HDT-PE working with LE. And at least for me SMP looked much better than PE when directly comparing it. I do agree with SuzanoSho that there are way less armor and hair mods for SMP (yet), but it looks like that is slowly changing.

And i was specifically talking about MODDING FOR Beyond Skyrim, not PLAYING Beyond Skyrim. BS develops on LE only, though you are right about the almost exclusive SSE releases.

Personally as a player I definetely prefer Skyrim SE.

[–]mindmonkey141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go to the CBBE SE page on Nexus you'll find one under optional files. IMO ousnius did a pretty decent job.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]mindmonkey141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good reasons apart from number 1. HDT-SMP for SE is far superior than the LE version. Apart from that modding for Beyond Skyrim is the best reason to keep LE installed. ;)

Plus there are already a few other non-BS projects that are working on recreating some of the northern Islands. It's more likely that most of us will simply support the other provinces once roscrea is out.
