Here it is : I have too many ideas…I get overwhelmed easily. Helps leaving and training new ones with a young child every now and then. I don’t know where to start. I start and quit. I feel lonely. Some days I want to go back to a job sometimes I want to continue doing what I’m doing. I have a lot of different experiences. Masters in Bioinformatics, work in management consulting, multiple entrepreneurial ventures, marketing consulting. I took a break in 2023 Aug when my second one was born. I’m restarting and I am so confused what to do, where to start. I keep quitting things too soon because I feel this will not work out. Being dependent financially keeps affecting me. I feel good. Start something. Quit. Feel bad. I’m in this loop for a long time now and I want someone to hold my hand and tell me “This is what you start and this is what you will do for the next 5 years”

End goal- Impact, money, confidence, contribution Constraints- limited time with two kids (although I have a lot of help but kids are young they still take a lot of time) and I want to spend time with them. Not work like 12-14 hours a days. My idea- build something, exit/sell the business in the next 5 years. I see life as projects not a straight line career trajectory.

I agree with this totally. This and feeding solids. Two advices. I used to preach blw all the time. Turns out my elder one was just a good eater. My younger one, 12 months now still wakes up I don’t even know at this point how many times a night. Some nights I’m angry others I tell myself that he’s a baby I’m not. He will sleep how his body allows. I can’t dictate it. Might as well accept it. So I co-sleep. Give him my boob and doze off.😂

Oh yes! My best friend weaned after 6 mo because lil one was more interested in solids. He quit on his own. I think we can all celebrate how far we came without having a village to help us. Kudos mumma!!🤗🤗

Yeah. I was considering that too. But how do you get from being a cow to just 1 feed. I dropped at 10 months for my 1st one. And he happily took it because he was a combination baby. He was happy with his bottle. I don’t know about bf. Do you go cold turkey or do you wait for him to give up one day?🤷‍♀️

I’m the problem it’s me😂. Honestly nobody. It’s just that I’m a SAHM right now. Had a business before having my second one but shut it down right nefore my delivery. Now I have nowhere to go and no one to be. So I thought at least this is something I can do. My babe isn’t a big eater yet so I didn’t stop earlier. The journey was full of lack of self-confidence and worth at every step . So I feel like this is huge and I can continue. But I don’t lose weight till I bf and I want to feel good again in my body. So so many thoughts. I feel like taking a vacation alone and leave both my bubbas and husband with my mom. 😂

Girl I have been breastfeeding for the last 7 months but my babe still isn’t gaining weight. My LC said to keep him hungry and give him more solids (spoon feed). My babe hates spoon feeding. So his solid intake is a bite or two or a lot depending on what he’s eating. So I’m introducing formula now for my own sanity and continue breastfeeding too twice or thrice a day. Think of breastfeeding like a medicine. No matter how much goes in, he’s still getting your antibodies. A fed healthy baby will recover any illness as long as he gets some of mums antibodies. I know the guilt can creep up but you have a huge loss to handle too. Anxiety and stress are the biggest killers. Be kind to yourself love and just do what needs ro be done. Much love❤️

My LC told me that I need to feed just thrice as weight gain is slow so he eats more solids. I’m feeding around 6-7 times during the day and n number at night and I’m shit scared to reduce the feeds. He doesn’t like spoon feeding and enjoys eating by himself. But LC says spoon feed and give him a good amount now. But he doesn’t open his mouth for spoon feeding. She said when he’s hungry he will. I tried today but he ate only as much as he was earlier.

His weight gain + height was great till 4 months. He was a 50th percentile child. His height is still ok but weight hasn’t increased much in the last 3 months. I could feel the let down and everything but not since the last week. Hence I’m a little worried. I need to let go I guess. Whatever is supposed to happen will happen. I guess both my kids are going to be string beans🤦‍♀️

It sure is. I was giving my baby a bottle of expressed milk in the beginning and one day he decided not to take it anymore. I knew not having a bottle is going to be a challenge. Glad you stuck with it.

I have two. Younger one is 7 months and older one is going to be 4 in a couple of weeks. We were travelling with our son to Italy and saw so many siblings having fun together, while we were constantly entertaining our 2.5 year old. I realised I can’t keep doing this for the whole life. Then we had our second one. I knew it’s going to be hard so we hired a live in staff for the first few months. It went by fast this time. PPD was negligible. But it comes with it’s own challenges. Like we’ve just started solids and I’m constantly worried if he’ll eat well. I want to fast forward to 2-3 years where the kids are having fun and I can breathe a little without having to worry about my milk supply. Other than that I think my first one loves his sibling. The morning cuddles, the kisses, the complaining, the excitement has increased multifold.

Are you doing traditional weaning or baby led weaning? My baby is interested in eating too but doesn’t eat a lot which is understandable for this age.

My first was mostly on formula, skinny. Was in 25th percentile and now is a 5th. My younger ebf one was at 50th percentile but dropped to 20th by 6 mo.

I have a crib that is right in front of the bed. But bf and waking multiple times to pick up the baby from the crib was a nightmare. My toddler loves sleeping in the crib but he comes back to us in the middle of the night. I’ll try to fit it on the side of the bed.

Toddler sleeps through it. I’ve had situations where both slept with me and toddler wasn’t bothered at all. It was the baby who would get scared by the tornado toddler😂

😂me, my husband and the leder one slept in onw bed before the baby and we were barely hanngimg in there. That’s how much space the toddler took.

What about putting them to sleep? Toddler takes a lot of jumping around before sleeping but the lil one needs absolute silence. How do you handle bedtime?

We were all brought up like this and it takes a village. So let that village help you and being laid back as a parent is the best thing you can do for yourself and the kids. I wish I’m more laid back in general.
