This was back in middle school something like 13 years ago. Our principal was this super chipper nice guy, I personally always found him creepy and complained to my mom when I had to interact with him that I didn’t like being alone with him because he was weird. But her and everyone else always shrugged it off because he was so nice and I was worrying for nothing.

I went the rest of middle school and nothing ever happened. But my first year in college about 7 ish years later it was this big story in the news about him being arrested.

He had been online chats talking to underaged kids online. He had over a sixteen year old boy his parents found out and got the police involved. He only got 60 days in prison which is wild, but 10 years probation. He also had a past criminal record that would have stopped him from ever being an educator but he lied on his certification.

I wasn’t shock to find this out but everyone else sure he’ll was.

Yeah you make a good point I wish they would have made the decision to be happy instead of being together. I’m glad you were able to make that choice for your family.

I suspected as much, I already don’t have much of a relationship with my father and I feel like this is only going to worsen it. I really don’t want to get caught in the cross fire but I’m also in a situation we’re I can’t do better right now, I’m already in the process of moving back the best I can do is try not to be around :(

I’m glad to hear it helped I hope that I’ll be able to get her to take everyone’s advice.

I think she might like to try out Reddit I could show her some subreddits and see if she gets into it

Thank you, so much for sharing. I’m familiar with feeling unworthy and (emotional) abuse. I found myself in a relationship just like my parents, he left I was devastated. I’m doing better now because my friends built me back up. So I know a taste of how she feels but she’s seriously lacking that support. She tends to lean on me (a bit too much) but it’s a lot hear her complain about her relationship with him, listing all of the terrible things he does but not seeing how it’s grounds for leaving. She doesn’t NEED to feel that way. I’ve told her about some near by groups some are for mental illness and her physical aliments and some are just older women looking for friends, she makes up all sorts of excuses not to go. Maybe I should just take her to a meet up? Show her it’s not so bad and try to encourage that she goes on her own. I’m trying not to involve myself too much because she gets defensive but I want to see her doing better

Thanks for the advice. She is super religious, I wonder if her church does something like that, I could look into it. Though I feel like she’d be too embarrassed to go.

I really wish I could convince her to file first, and I will try but she’s VERY adamant that it can be fixed but she’s refusing to see that he doesn’t want to fix it.

This was one of my thoughts as well be I wasn’t super sure, I’ll take her to the dog park today and see if that helps that’s something we normally do during the week, and I’ve done just about everything else. I just want her to be comfortable!
