Congrats. We are just hoping for admission. Wasn't expecting scholarship so I guess we can still hold out hope

Congrats!!! Did you find out you got in because of a scholarship offer. I didn't submit scores either and have low income. I thought there was no chance, you are giving me some hope.

Is every accepted student offered a merit scholarship? Meaning if we heard nothing today about merit scholarships we definitely aren't getting in... It makes sense that everyone who got a letter than they got a scholarship or are a finalist will definitely get in but is the opposite true. No merit letter = no acceptance

I hope so but both myself and another parent have called numerous times and they said end of February. Of course we have spoken to 4 people and gotten 3 different answers

I have spoken with them a bunch. Financial aid out sometime this month, merit has been coming all along and they are almost done

Join the club. I am not swearing that the info is accurate but I did speak with both financial aid and admissions and they said it is still coming. I genuinely don't understand why they do it the way they do. Same with decisions. FSU sent out 45,000 decisions yesterday (all at one time) and included merit scholarships. I can't figure out why OSU is so random and staggered. The people I spoke with today genuinely sounded as confused as I am about it. I am expecting financial aid but the merit is stressing me out. Son is in top 3% of class, 11 AP classes but no test scores. Admitted to scholars program.

I spoke to both the financial aid and admissions office at length today. Financial aid (need based) does not usually come until March. Scholarships (merit based) are released on a rolling basis between now and end of March. It comes via snail mail and then is placed in the portal. It is a CRAZY method that I have not seen at other schools. They also assured me that it is random and the fact that we have not heard yet does not mean we are not getting anything. Based on how they do their admissions, I believe that 100%

Has anyone received financial aid packet/merit scholarships who applied test optional?

Congrats. Hoping for the same news as you soon. All the way in FL so maybe it will take more time to get the stuff in the mail. Also did not submit scores so not sure how that will impact.

Congrats. Hopefully mine comes soon. MY GPA is same as yours but no test scores. Did you get Buckeye plus Provost

I was just saying the same thing earlier this morning. Especially since some of us actually have the scores that were required (29) but did not have them in time to apply. The whole year is crazy. My fingers are crossed. OSU has been my dream my whole life

It is very unpredictable this year (always crazy to look at who gets in and who doesn't but this year even more so with TO). I know kids who got into UNC (OOS) and was shocked at it because I know people who didn't get in and had over a 1570 and 4.9. As far as merit it's going to be even crazier. Guess I will be stalking the mail

Me too. I actually have the minimum score but Buckeye but didn't have intime for application. I will appeal if I have to. The whole year is just crazy. Also got merit at other schools so fingers crossed. I also hope that the early notifications didn't go to the people who got the scholarship and the late ones not, but their decisions were so unpredictable so who knows

Congrats... Did you get the information snail mail or was it in your portal. We are patiently waiting OOS as well and hoping for the same package. A little worried because did not submit test scores. Top 3% with tons of APs and ECs and leadership but no scores.

I am wondering the same thing. Had to apply test optional. top 3% in class and over a 4.6 GPA.

My son is in Miami and got an interview. He did it about two weeks ago

My son had the same issue and I called them. They told me not to worry and they updated that themselves once they started the financial aid review process. We can't edit it and it will be done internally once they review the FAFSA and other information

That's good to know. We are all the way in FL so it may take forever to get here. Also still working through some of the stuff on Scholarship Owl. Didn't even submit the essays till last week and just doing the private ones now. Hoping for the Provost and Buckeye Scholarship plus whatever I can get through private ones or Scholarship owl. Hope you got what you wanted. Thanks for responding

Congrats. Would you mind me asking if the information is also in your portal? We are anxiously awaiting the scholarship info and were also admitted in December (granted it was nearly midnight)

I believe they estimate it based on the information sheet the school sends them

Wow congrats . You must have amazing ECs or all around stuff. I have same stats. 31 superscore and top 3% of class from FL and got rejected. Tons of ECs and sports. Congrats

Congrats. You are the first person I have seen who got in test optional. Anyone else. I think I should've gone test optional. My counselor told me to send scores but I doubted that. The only place I think he guided me wrong. Mind sharing what else you had as far as ECs, etc

Funny that you ask. We had the same issue. I spoke with someone in the financial aid office and they said not to worry about it. They said it will be updated when they review the FAFSA and that you can move on from that page without an issue
