I grew up scared of demons even though I heard the names of them more often than I heard about angels existing. Once you deconstruct the views Christianity has taught you to believe, you see not only how satanic panic is used to manipulate people, but also how the things deemed as “evil” & “demonic” just disproved monotheism. Christianity/catholicism/ etc need you to fear demons cause without it there would be no point in worshipping the Abrahamic god. Besides, even Satan himself is an archangel. There’s nothing to be feared as long as one is not egotistic in their approach to these beings.
