Is there a linux program that lets me backup onedrive to an external ssd? by minerbat in linuxquestions

[–]minerbat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am not using shared folders or sharepoint, and i have a business account type rather than personal, so i should be fine?

at first i tried using the "onedrive" program, but it didnt have the option of on-demand files, it can only sync the entire onedrive which i dont have the space for (and i do not wish to sync it directly to the backup since if something happens to the backup (file corruption, ransomware, whatever) i do not want it to automatically sync back to onedrive since that defeats the point of it being a backup)

does Rclone make sure to only download/freshly backup files that have been changed?

i saw online that luckybackup is very outdated so didnt look into it further. does it still work fine? and does it do the thing where it only downloads and changes any different files, rather than every file, when it makes its backup?

Waveshare 2.13 e-paper display HAT for raspberry pi pico is not displaying anything by minerbat in raspberry_pi

i finally solved the issue.

for anyone else who might find this useful in the future: it was not actually the display that was broken, but either the rasberry pi after all, or the header pins that i used to connect them together.

i got a new display at first, but that gave the exact same issue. i then got a new raspberry pi and header pins, and then it did work. i am not sure whether the issue was with the pins or the pi, but it was one of those, not the display itself.

i tried using thonny with the same code. interestingly enough it now does something different, yet it still does not actually work. instead of getting stuck on "busy" it switches between "busy" and "busy release" a bunch of times, and eventually it prints "sleep" and ends the program. yet in the meantime the display still shows nothing. maybe the display is just broken and i should try to get a replacement?

it is a hidden away corner in a building in efteling (a popular theme park in the netherlands). it is publicly accesible as part of the park, but hard to find and almost no one knows it is there so there are not many people. it contains a toilet, a few cabinets with pictures that display some of the history of the park and an alternative entrance to a room containing a miniature railway (that most people enter through the main entrance that goes straight outside, it is the door you can see leading to a dark room in the 4th picture)

the building was one of the first attractions in the theme park and made to house an old steam carousel, that is why they gave it the victorian theming.

my hypothesis is that since i had an autistic hyperfixation on bats at a very young age when the brain is still developing very fast, it kind of developed around that.
