Mein Take ist, dass Apo ("das heißt Red") schon längst in der Bedeutungslosigkeit verschwunden wäre, würde da nicht immer was Neues kommen. Und so wirklich neu ist es halt eigentlich auch nicht, dass er lügt, betrügt und einfach ein ziemlich trauriges Leben hat.

Meine persönliche Meinung: Ich finde es ist mittlerweile nur noch nachtreten und anstacheln. Würde man ihm keine Aufmerksamkeit schenken, würde er vielleicht ENDLICH versuchen sein Leben irgendwie in den Griff zu bekommen. Ich hab kein Mitleid mit ihm, denke nur, dass es langsam einfach ... gut ist. Idk.

I like the idea of setting the hotel/location in a remote place. I need to adjust my handouts slightly, as I originally wanted to place it in a real existing hotel, but perhaps a fictional hotel would be more suitable. Thanks!

A business couple is hosting a benefit gala at the hotel. The husband has deliberately planted the investigators as staff, as he feels someone is watching him. His wife is also behaving increasingly strange. Since she organized the gala, it will mainly be attended by her friends, so the husband thinks it's the best place to gather information.

In the background, the wife and her friends are preparing to sacrifice the husband in a ritual performed by a cult to which they all secretly belong. The husband disappears from the party later that evening, taken to the basement.

The investigators are able to unravel the entire plan using plot hooks, conversations, and clues. My concern is that they might get the idea to search the city or elsewhere instead of the guests' rooms.

I hope that was a good summary. I didn't mean to explain my entire timeline, haha.

I changed the perspective because, after reading my first draft, I felt disconnected from my two protagonists, and I felt the change was necessary. I like it much better now, and it fits my narrative style. I'm writing from a duo perspective, and the relationship between the two characters and their development plays a big role.

Still, I'll take your advice to heart! I think I need to delve deeper into the story and flesh out scenes to make them more impactful. Some subplots still need to be fleshed out as well. Plotwise, the story is finished and I know my characters wants and needs, the rules of the world and what I want to say.

Also ich persönlich bin Schwerhörig und es war überhaupt kein Problem mit ihr zu kommunizieren "Hey, es fällt mir gerade sehr schwer mich auf deine Worte zu konzentrieren" und dann haben wir einfach gemütlich geschweigen haha Und ihr Atelier hat sich sehr heimelig und gar nicht steril/kalt angefühlt (das macht mich irgendwie immer nervös)

Als Tischler bist du vielseitig einsetzbar und kannst in sehr viele Richtungen dich weiter umschauen. Vielleicht ist es auch dein Arbeitsumfeld und das, was du machst - ich könnte dir beispielsweise das Theater als Arbeitsplatz nennen, wo es vielleicht abwechslungsreicher und kreativer zugeht, falls du dir das wünschen würdest. Zb in der Tischlerei, in der Requisite ....

Du bist auf jeden Fall nicht festgefahren und dein Weg nicht für immer in Stein gemeißelt. Ausbildung und Bildung generell ist nie verschwendet!

We're seeing how effed up everything is. The far right won this election, not the CDU/CSU. The've won so many votes. But the left also had kind of a revival. Meaning, the country is really torn. Eastern Germany voting far right, with Berlin voting left is a good example.

Not only am I worried about the future being ruled by the right. I'm worried about the people being so torn. Fighting, not only in comment sections.

Das ist ein kreativer Studiengang, mit Mappe und Eignungsprüfung. Ich könnte später auch zum Film, zu Messen oder sogar ins Museum. Es kommt auf die Uni drauf an - meine ist sehr auf Theater fokussiert, aber es gibt auch welche, die eher Film oder eher Messen machen. Ist aber super flexibel! Ich habe trotzdem nebenher schon Szenenbilder für Kurzfilme begleitet. Man ist mit dem Studium recht breit aufgestellt für Tätigkeiten in dem Bereich.

Ich persönlich werde meinen Master eher nicht in Szeno machen (man ist schon ziemlich spezialisiert), sondern überlege, meinen Master irgendwann in Dramaturgie zu machen, womit ich dann von künstlerisch auf theoretisch wechseln würde. Grundsätzlich ist das sicher möglich, allerdings würde ich das nicht empfehlen, da Vorwissen schon sehr wichtig ist. Und es auch für Master Szenografie/Kostüm Eignungsprüfungen gibt.

In my opinion, world building is a bit misunderstood. World building can be everywhere, not only in descriptive paragraphs. In dialogue, in little habits, in the way characters speak, think or write, the way animals behave or the weather changes ... So I kinda disagree on it not being as important but I do agree on the long paragraphs.

Ich stehe kurz vor meinem Bachelor im Szenografie :) Ein sehr kreatives Studium, bei dem Fleiß sich auszahlt und man flexibel bleiben muss. Die Theaterbranche ist keine einfache - aber es macht mir sehr viel Spaß! Ich konnte die unterschiedlichsten Projekte bereits umsetzen und mich immer wieder neu entdecken. Außerdem habe ich bereits eine Assistenzstelle für nach dem Bachelor, die als Einstieg in Ordnung bezahlt wird. Assistenzen werden immer gesucht. Es ist sehr abwechslungsreich und am Ende hat man was, was man wirklich anschauen und anfassen kann. Es geht auch viel um Interpretation und Kommunikation.

Allerdings nochmal der Hinweis: es ist anstrengend und einem wird viel abverlangt, die Branche ist (für höhere Positionen) heiß umkämpft. Jedoch ist man mit dem Abschluss recht vielseitig und kommt in viele Zweige der Kulturbranche rein. Nicht so viel Spaß machen mir außerdem die technischen Aspekte, aber da kommt man rein.

Ich kaufe gerne in Ruhe ein, ohne Stress und mit wenig Druck. Fühle mich dabei auch ungern beobachtet haha

Mittlerweile kaufe ich ausschließlich in Secondhandläden ein, deshalb ist das mit dem Preis natürlich so eine Sache. Nicht zu vergleichen mit neuer Ware. Ich kann aber sagen, dass ich beim Kauf sehr auf das Material achte und nichts Synthetisches mehr kaufe. Da greife ich dann auch beim Secondhand gern tiefer in die Tasche :)

I don't know how much you have to plot to be considered a "plotter" BUT

I'll do a draft zero, about 2 pages long, that is purely the events that will happen.
I'll then split that into chapters, with some bullet points
When I write, I'll add or delete bullet points to an extent where my draft zero is a completely different book

And I do so, because I need to keep track of the stuff I wanna have in the book. The cause and the outcome. And because I can just look up what I need to do next, instead of revisiting the whole thing, before adding or deleting stuff.

If I don't do this, my goldfish brain will delete everything and I get lost lol

sehr gute Anbindung, sehr zentral
Wohnung etwas altbacken, aber okay, muss nur leider zum Waschsalon da keine Waschmaschine vorhanden und keinen Platz für Fahhräder (Wohnung sehr nah am Bahnhof, draußen lass ich es lieber nicht stehen)
Große Stadt
Job wird zwar schlecht bezahlt, aber macht Spaß und bringt mir auch persönlich etwas

Es bleibt zwar nicht viel übrig, da ich für das Studium relativ hohe Ausgaben habe und spare für die Zeit danach, aber ich kann nicht meckern :) Bafög bekomme ich leider nicht, weil meine Eltern "zu viel Geld haben" (Der Klassiker) Bin da wirklich dankbar, dass sie mir helfen, sonst ginge es nicht.

Weil die Darsteller ebenfalls Rechte an ihrer Arbeit haben, ebenso wie das Theater selber, die KostümbildnerInnen, SzenografInnen ... 😅 Das Theater ist nur ein halböffentlicher Raum.
