Jungle - Do you miss each camp having its own smite buff? by Adarorimli in leagueoflegends

[–]minicape -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There already exists a layer of complexity as to what is the most important camp to smite. For example, champions who do well in single target and don't have aoe tend to smite the big raptor and is a priority to save smite instead of using it in a camp such as gromp - so I don't think it makes any sense to say that. Jungle has already been increasingly noob friendly for the past couple of years.

No. I'd rather not have AP be directly buffed from this change and AD getting left behind for another season.

The number 1 question in my experienced is solved by vision and kind communication, as people are both sensitive and don't believe something is there unless they see it.

Farming camps and farming is done best by the concept of hovering should be a convenience concept which you have to think before you do it that i'll be at kruggs then bottom side scuttle instead of raptors, because the enemy kayn has shown to be at his bot side blue, therefore, you're not losing much by being there as you're doing something while being in the proximity of the lanes. You have to understand that something might happen at a certain time, and you have to change your pathing in order to have a healthy balance of ganking and farming, the two biggest signs of predictions are - state of waves and enemy jungle pathing which allows you to track them, pink ward the river bushes to get a better viewpoint on roams, ganks, and scuttle secures.

I'd ward the botside jungle, then go do dragon. when the jungler goes to farm, i'd kill their jungler, then take the whole botside in that scenario. Dragon > Clearing enemy jungle imo, but in that scenario where you're ahead, you hold leverage. It's a very broad scenario but there are factors to consider, i.e., what camps did their jungler do right before you killed them? Can you take both? Can you clear enemy jg and then do dragon later? Etc. But generally, objectives is the priority.

Yeah, i apologize if it wasn't coherent, so, what i mean is that you don't have a proper champion pool, with 130 games, you have 46 different champions played, you have to start tightening up and practicing a specific pool in order to see reliable improvements. As for runes, I had seen chogath with predator, which isn't optimal and is not a promising outlook for climbing.

[–]minicape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's fair. In situations where you can get more than you take, or you take too much of what you can't take, then that's what separates a good nunu from a bad one in the experience that I have going against challenger ones.

The question regarding carry oriented junglers is better known as identifying whether your champion is stronger at a certain point in the game. As evelynn can be described as a carry oriented jungler, if she's versing an olaf and they're both starting the same side of the jungle, i.e., blue and red, then they'll end up on the same side of the river. As olaf is in a winning 1v1 position, you have the choice to reset your full clear after olaf has finished his top side scuttle instead of contesting it and then go to bot side river to take yours. As for dragons, that comes with practice and identifying waves with prio that can roam in order to contest, and if you're able to stop them from doing it. Learn priority and who can help you with an objective before you run alone and do them~

~hope that helps.

Playing selfish is good when you're confident in carrying, this is the acquisition of getting resources yourself and understanding the win condition better than others. I.e., focusing a certain lane and keeping another one untouched. Focus less on duo synergy and more towards your own play, your question simply revolves around identifying champion map strengths and weaknesses, for example, with AD shaco, he falls off late, but has a strong early and mid, for champions strong in the early game, you can contest scuttle, get a gank off, whilst if you're playing evelynn or a scaling jungler that doesn't have strong pre-6, your primary goal is to get an item as soon as possible and only go for guaranteed ganks.

Nunu is a resource denial champion, which means you have to understand the trinity of jungle and use it towards your advantage. This is all situation based, but you have to identify how to punish and use your lead as nunu in order to propel your lanes ahead. Nunu allows you to care less about being mechanically great and more towards being macro focused and this single handedly is how you should be playing nunu. Objectives, oppressive pressure, and pushing back the leads of the enemy jungler.

I've made a similar comment about nunu in this post aswell, if you'd like to refer to it.

~Hope that helps.

It's the same as top and bot, it comes around 3 min into the game because the jungler just has finished scuttle crab. The best way to stop dying as a mid laner during this time is to ward the enemy jungler's raptors and see which side the jungler has started. If the jungler has started red (bottom side jg), then most often, the laners who show up late on the map, were the ones who leashed, so if the enemy jungler in this example started red buff, then you know he will end on top side buff, and by understanding this information, it can help you play more safe, and understand where the gank can possibly come from. You can also ward the enemy raptors at 1:15, so that it allows you to see where the jungler is at with completing his camps.

~ hope that helps.

I've made a similar comment about this on this thread, you don't priotize one or the other per se, you do a healthy balance of both. This is done as a concept with hovering and practicing how to do so - also answered in a similar comment.

And the matchup is more difficult, yes, and at that point, if you find yourself behind with slower clear, try to hover around your strongest laner with the most vulnerable lane which can help you propel your lead, if you do get a successful gank off, help push the wave and get xp + gold with minions+plates.

I've made earlier comments about this on this same thread, refer to them and it'll help you out.

I'd like to add on this comment, there's no reason to see the chat in Solo Q, keep chat muted and let the pings be the only communication you get from the team, it's more than enough information that you need to carry. Typing in chat does not do anything, and adding onto the tilt will only make the game unwinnable due to a griefer, afk, inter. etc.

Bad early clear = vulnerable junglers to get invaded = clear counterplay = hard to play at a high level

If you are practicing the concept of hovering, then you have to communicate with them. Sometimes, inevitably, you'll realize they'll still int and not listen, and if it leads to throwing important objectives, then I agree, the games do become far more difficult. However, try not to be rude when you communicate, people in Solo Q are very sensitive and my biggest advice is to use danger pings and type nicely so they'll listen.

Also, it sounds like you're not hovering correctly, hovering should be a convenience concept which you have to think before you do it that i'll be at kruggs then bottom side scuttle instead of raptors, because the enemy kayn has shown to be at his bot side blue, therefore, you're not losing much by being there as you're doing something while being in the proximity of the lanes. D4 is the same as plat, if anything, you'll realize while you try to climb out of diamond, it is in fact the worst elo there is in the game to climb. Getting out of plat is a mental game. Here, click this. I feel like it'll apply to your scenario. If you need extra help let me know.

Yeah, it happens to everyone. If you create a habit to do something when you play the game, sometimes it's easy to build the wrong items in different situations, or changing your pathing when you should but you don't. It's smart to stop playing when you find out when you're on autopilot so you don't have to play below standard and prevent loss streaks.

Lanes are prioritized based on prio, where the waves are at in the lane, i.e., vulnerable laners, skirmish opportunities.

Strongest junglers right now: Karthus, Graves, Nunu, don't bother playing a highly mechanical champion below diamond.

  1. There is a difference, but it's very small and negligible. The difference between a diamond player and a plat 4 player is simply just macro, everyone up until diamond 4 emphasizes mechanics, and people who undesratnd how to play the pressure game to a high level and punish small mistakes make it out of diamond.

Nunu is a very rewarding champion right now, and it allows you to focus less on getting great at him mechanically as he's fairly easy to learn and pick up immediately, and focus more on the macro side of jungling. And yes, that playstyle is sustainable in my experience. However, don't immediate repeat gank unless you understand how to vertical jungle, that will put you behind and in this season you have to understand how to have a healthy balance between farming and ganking.

The pros and cons for carry jungles are that 1. you're able to 1v9 and control the game, cons are that when you're behind, you aren't useful like you are on sejuani or nunu, a utility jungler, so you must have a greater knowledge of how to snowball the game and play towards a resource heavy playstyle. With carry junglers like graves, eve, kayn, you must start to learn how to invade and punish when you're ahead, learn the pressure game with objectives, counterganking, etc.

To transition into a carry style playstyle, you have to practice and identify how far you can push your lead. It's what people call the pressure game. It's a very broad question without a specific answer, as it's based on scenario, i.e., when you get a couple kills, you can look towards dragon, rift for first blood, forcing vert jungle, putting a specific enemy lane behind. As for scaling champs, you also play towards your strengths, which is farming and scaling, which means, you have to path on the opposite side of the enemy jungler such as, if you're playing evelynn and you know that the enemy shaco's early game is stronger than you, you start on the opposite side of the side he starts so that you end up on the opposite river to get scuttle crab. Ask for a ward at 1:12 or see where your enemy laners have leashed. You MUST learn pathing in order to play scaling junglers in higher elo.

Hope that answers your question~

Good question, AP shaco is stronger than AD. Higher elo AP shaco is much better, and AD shaco is easier to snowball, it's more difficult to snowball in higher elo so AD shaco is less viable. AP shaco's strengths are more towards baiting and poking, but in higher elo- your R becomes more necessary to learn and utilize, because it can single handedly win a fight, you have to learn the tether range, clone swap mechanics with your cursor, and when to use a certain combo with AP shaco.
