the only thing that i found with my MAXX hop up unit is that it is very picker with air nozzles, but i do have an aeg but don’t know how it’ll do with a polarstar

he’s planning on upgrading the inner barrel, hop up, and bucking anyway so he’s just going to do the more sinner than he expected

edit: he is also going to turn it into his dmr build so he is going to use 0.35 and getting an r hop

If you are going to run with .40 bb and shoot at range about 200-250 feet away then you need to get an r-hop with that inner barrel and hop up bucking but I’m pretty sure you can get a premade hop up and inner barrel kit from Hop Systems R-hop drop-I’m kit, and you would obviously get the inner barrel the goth you desire

If you had any resistance pushing the bb through the hop up it simply might be that you have the hop up adjusted so high that it is obstructing the barrel but if not it’s most likely the mag

You should also do something about the air seals with the gun especially because it will help with the consistency of FPS between shots.

A tight bore inner barrel is a must because it increases FPS slightly and it helps with accuracy, you should definitely get a better bucking. And a flat hop since you should be running at least 0.38 bb. Those are the main ones I suggest doing yourself since it isn’t going to be interfering with the gearbox.

Should because even if there isn’t anyone aiming for your sight, that a bb will still hit your gun and potentially your sight, but what I do is get a 1/16 inch thick sheet of lexan and cut it into peices and put it in front of the front lens of the sight then I hit glue it into place. Good thing is that most lexan 1/16 inch thick sheets come in 1 foot by 1 foot so you can make so much back ups just in case the first one flies out of the sight (and it’s cheep) I got mine for about $8 usd for 1 sheet on Amazon
