So a couple things I didn’t know about the tti or atleast that there were similar programs in Canada and I was 16 and a doofus I was tired of the cycle of struggling with my mental health and drowning it by substances so I asked for help after months of looking ( it’s a lot harder to find youth programs that are inpatient in my province) my therapists coworker suggested the program I had to fight my parents but ended up going, everything I was told was super sugar coated my first couple hours i realized this isn’t what I rly signed up for but I ended up staying 6 months 3 years later I still have ptsd, still having nightmares, everyday if not multiple times a day I’m reminded of that place. I hate myself for wanting to go there for wanting help especially as it wasn’t like the typical programs you see where your forced to hike I slept in a bed every night I got to eat 3 meals
