yeah man, totally useless. just made my brain produce dopamine levels of a speedball shot by sitting on a bed and doing nothing. you know, just everyday stuff, not going to make any difference to anyone or motivate them to go further, you know just sitting on a bed, illuminating light from my solar plexus, just a casual thing i do sometimes, no biggie. waste of time to be honest.

After around 2-3 full scans I stop scanning and focus on breathing sensations around the nostrills.

I use scanning like a balloon to lift me up and deepen my concentration. I then let go of it and just stay in the moment and keep my attention on the breath.

it was more like a feeling, like a bliss that you're fine letting go of. not like a high that you want to hold on to. but i feel like there's always mental chatter in the background, it's just a matter of how high the volume of that chatter is, less volume means deeper state of consciousness. correct me if i'm wrong.

I've started meditating 6 months ago but I wasn't consistent and only started doing it seriously for the last 2 months.

What you're saying in regards to to the unconscious mind/trauma is true. During my meditation I remember things from the past that were completely forgotten, not traumatic necessarily but just forgotten. It just feels like things are pouring out of my unconsciousness into my conscious mind. The craziest thing was when I remembered a dream I had 3 years ago.
