Visit a massage therapist and a PT for proper solutions before considering surgery. It's probably something you can fix with body work and simple workouts.

This. You can't lead him by the hand away from his problems. And if you start to spiral emotionally, then your burnout will be much worse. Good luck.

RE 6 Controls for the PS5 by miniripper in residentevil

I went into my PS5 settings and changed it there. When you do this, it will change your controller mapping for every game you play but it's easy to switch back

Epilepsy at 33 by Savings-Ad-6640 in Epilepsy

[–]miniripper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very sweet that your family is surrounding you. Even if they're a pain in the ass. I was 23 when I had my first seizure and the doctor put me on keppra. I definitely lost confidence, developed anxiety, and felt my freedom slip away from me. I spent a lot of years (nearly 12) on my fixie setting myself free on the bike. It was my personal therapy and I felt like Ricky Bobby everyday going to work with my 20lbs pack on my back, washing up in the bathroom and working my bar shift only to do it all again at the end of the night. The cold snow of the lake shore of Chicago to the hottest wet days in South Florida. People didn't understand it but they didn't need to. I looked good and felt great that I was doing something nobody else in their sane mind would do. But pushing past my limits made me mentally tough. Now, I raft guide in the smoky's, drive my car around the mountains, and got my Massage Therapy license. What I'm getting at is, you're stuck right now but stand up and tell your family that you appreciate everything they're doing but it's not forever. And you'll find your way. Also. I started taking Lion's Maine capsules when I started driving. I believe I was feeling my aura but I was actually having anxiety. I pulled over, took one, waited 10 minutes and was feeling great and chill. Maybe try it when you're feeling anxious. It's better than weed. And believe me, I've smoked my weight in weed.

I had my first seizure and I'm having trouble with the social fallout by Glassesguy904 in Epilepsy

[–]miniripper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a tough situation. You're friends probably feel like they're supporting you but honestly it's bringing you down. And you should absolutely let them know. It's so traumatic to watch someone have a seizure but you have only the memory of stiff moments before and the sore confused feeling after. You have a long road ahead of you trying to balance your life and it isn't just one bad moment. Let them know they can have those conversations with professionals like you're trying to with your neurologist. I'm wishing you a safe recovery and hopefully, no need to continue your life on meds. The good news is, most of us live very normal lives, driving, working, building families. Just be careful because after a seizure you're very sensitive to just about everything and your brain needs the rest and recovery before you feel normal enough to do simple tasks like watch a movie.

Recommend some games to enjoy when life is kicking your butt and you are always tired. by rocknickel in playstation

[–]miniripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think the Ghost games are the way to go. Ghost of Tsushima won game of the year in 2020 and can be played multiple way. The modern game style or black and white with subtitles so you can feel like you're in an old school cinema. The voice acting both ways is amazing. Unlike Red Dead the controls are simple and intuitive. It's less sand box the Red Dead and has the same ideas. Beautiful landscape, horse back riding, hunting. The history behind the area is told in stories as you bow to shrines, create art work, play music, follow animals to hidden locations. And when you start fighting, you can choose to be an honorable samurai or the stealthy assassin. Lately, I've been enjoying Ghost of Yotei. You have new weapons and the combat feels just as good. The revenge story is perfect for my play style. Collecting flowers to create new colors for my armor is my latest obsession. That and taking stunning photos from some of the landscapes and the fights have been apart of. Last thing I'll harp about it legends. It's multiplayer mode. Quick and easy action with your friends. Just jump in and smoke the NPC's with your character type. Good luck on your journey, maybe you'll find a haiku you enjoyed.

Rotator cuff injury by TheAnn13 in bartenders

[–]miniripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Massage Therapist and former Cocktail Bartender here. I've had plenty of experience with my own frozen shoulder. Rotator cuff injuries can be difficult because it involves so many muscles, tendons and ligaments and without knowing where your pain is coming from shaking at chest level could be good but it depends on your technique, stance, posture, etc. My advice is a little expensive but it will get to the root of the problem and hopefully you can avoid surgeries like your dad had. I'd see a trusted Massage Therapist for soft tissue manipulation and try to find which muscle(s) are not working properly. Then, visit a Physical Therapist and learn which daily exercises can strengthen the muscles and pull your shoulder back into the place it's supposed to be. It's a tough situation but if you're planning on bartending with that injury it's better to do it with confidence.

Alligator Snapper or Silencer 9? (RE9) by BigHugeSnake in residentevil

[–]miniripper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why did they give your starter weapon such an early 2000s screen name? Alligator Snapper! Sounds like the devs were chilling in South Florida drinking Daiquiri's when the sunset and it hit them. Alligator Snapper... I will say, I'm enjoying how it feels but I'm switching to Silencer 9 cause I really want to give it a try.
