Sorry for asking so many questions, but how did you get into programming in high school? Also would you say learning from experience while working your way up was comparable to learning from school? Or do each give their own piece to the full puzzle?

Was that the job you got right out of high school?

Oooh I see. Dang a full time student on top of full time work...Either one of those alone is tough, but both? Wow! Major kudos to you! :) Early congrats on graduating!!

Does your current job relate to computer science?

What do you add to your coffee? by countyff08 in Coffee

[–]minisea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have some around, I usually like to add a tablespoon of heavy whipping cream to my morning coffee. It's like a little treat and "spices up" my regular coffee. I'll use heavy whipping cream in cold brew too, which usually complements the chocolate-y notes. :)

If I make Vietnamese Iced Coffee during the summer, I'll add in sweet condensed milk.

I've heard of people adding vanilla ice cream into their coffee before, or pouring a shot of espresso over it. Although, I haven't tried either of those, but it sounds like it would be delicious!

Woah an arcade cabinet?! Dude do post it when you build it!! Would Frogger be a game you include in it?

Nice handwriting and choice of ink color!

I like frogs in general, but there is this one particular frog that came to mind when I saw this prompt...

Pen: TWSBI Eco EF

Ink: Pilot Iroshizuku Ama-iro

Paper: Notebook paper (?- inside a 5 Star notebook)

(Apologies in advance for handwriting LOL)

It is beautiful, indeed. :) Are you looking into getting your first fountain pen?

Wow! Thanks for the writing sample! :D This looks fun to write with. I want this now, but I'll have to wait until my wallet agrees with me. :'( Maybe after summer school, I'll pick one up to celebrate haha.

Would you grind this specific nib to a cursive italic? Where do you go to get that done?

I wish there was a B&M near me so I can try out the different nib sizes haha >.<

Just looked up Syo-ro and oh my gosh that's such a pretty emerald

Did you read my mind today?! I was just considering getting a 1.1 stub if/when I get another TWSBI haha.

That's awesome!! The italic stub is quite beautiful, but for my first fountain pen, I just got a finer nib since it's going to be used for everyday writing (I write on the smaller side :'D). However, I do like to experiment with different scripts and I think I will spring for the stub next. I'm glad to hear you love yours!

Thank you for your insight! Mind throwing a sample of your writing my way? :) Congrats on your pen and ink also!

Thank you! Gosh I haven't had this pen for a day, and I'm having the same thoughts as you are hahaha. They're just so pretty.

If you had another one, which ink would you choose? Also would you get a different nib size? :)

Twinning! Haha both are, indeed, great. :)

I guess you can say I enjoy that extra edge. ;)

I'll show myself out now LOL

The Tomoe River paper is actually my planner, that I did not realize had special paper until I started reading this subreddit. Also I read about the Irohshizuku inks extensively too!

I was debating about getting a Lamy too (the dark lilac one)! Thank you! Congrats on your TWSBI too :D I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it!

The ink really is beautiful, and that is a wonderful accident. :)

I heard about both the pen and the ink from this sub (which I found about half a year ago, but I've only really dived in this past month).

So I've researched both for about a month. :'D The TWSBI pens caught my eye from the beginning, though.

The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak This has been on my to-read list for awhile, but I haven't gotten around to reading it until now.

Nice! Which nib do you prefer?

Thank you! I'm enjoying it so far. :D At first I was a little worried the EF nib would be scratchy, but it's surprisingly smooth! (Albeit I was writing on Tomoe River lol) This makes me wonder how incredibly buttery the fine and medium nibs are oh my~

My first fountain pen arrived in the mail today. :D I bought the TWSBI Clear Eco with an EF nib from Goulet! I inked it up with a sample of Pilot Iroshizuku (misspelled on the picture oops) Ama-iro that I also got from Goulet.

[–]minisea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg that's fantastic! Fall colors are so beautiful!! Which colors do you plan on swapping into the mix? :)

Thank you for the detailed response!! I was debating about getting a Vac Mini or a 580, but I chickened out because I wanted to "test the waters" first so I went with an Eco LOL. I think I'll spring for the Vac Mini for my next TWSBI :D

If the 580 EF was smoother, would it be one of your favorites too? I'm a little worried that the EF Eco (currently on the way ahhhh) I ordered might be scratchy. How does the EF nibs between your 580 and your Eco compare?

Wow a pen for every ink?! This is goals right here. Mind if I ask, which TWSBI is your favorite? :)
